Fave Natalie Imbruglia single?
I dug out her greatest hits album and rediscovered her singles, all of them good (except Want that sucked)

![]() . When I heard her sing it live, it was not only beautifully sung, but also amazed that it didn't get the top spot in the charts.

It has to be Torn, such an obvious choice, but it's such a magnificent song.

Smoke definitely....only reached number 42 in her native country incredibly! My favourite song of Nat's has got to be 'Come September' the closing track of 'White Lilies Island'. Bit of an ignored masterpiece that record IMO, very Sundays-esque. If some pasty faced cool indie band had released it at the time it would have been critically better received no doubt.
Very talented songwriter is Gary 'Danny Wilson' Clark. |

Torn, Wishing I Was There, Big Mistake & Smoke. Best era for Natalie. Left of The Middle was a great album.

White Lillies Island is just as good but more mellow. Counting down The Days was nice but had quite alot of filler in it. I didn't care for her most recent shelved album at all, that sound wasn't working for Natalie. I hope she returns to her roots when recording the new album. |

Come September was a great song - I agree.
As for her best single...Beauty On The Fire has the edge over Shiver for me. It's a close call though. I really find Shiver a sad song; especially the breakdown "...what if we get off at the next stop". Beauty On The Fire is ace though. A real feel-good song. To be fair to her, she's had a lot of feel-good singles. |
