I know this has been covered before, but I wonder if Ross Kemp will return as Grant Mitchell in EastEnders sometime in 2005.
I think he will. The spoiler that was in The Star a few weeks ago claimed we is returning with Peggy when Sam attempts to commit suicide after finding out about Andy's dogdy dealings.
The article claimed Grant returns with Peggy and goes to extreme lengths to get the Vic back from Andy.
The BBC as repored on Digital Spy claimed this was all false. I don't think it was false as The Star claimed they got this spoiler from a source close to EastEnders.
I think Grant's return will be at the tail end of the Sam/Andy storyline which will probably be next spring/summer I think, in which case Ross Kemp wouldn't start filming until probably March 2005 at the least.
I have a feeling Grant's return will also have something to do with Phil's return as well and maybe Phil is hiding in Brazil with Grant.
I know it's all guess work, but I seriously do think Grant's character will return sometime in 2005, it feels the right time for him to comeback if only to teach Andy a lesson.

I hope so. I want Peggy, Phil, Grant AND later Michelle (new actress or old one) to return. Imagine how good that would be?!

Yes it would be a great storyline. Also, back to The Star's spoiler a few weeks ago, it's very rare the tabloids make up storyline's, they always get their information from reliable sources. The scriptwriters at EastEnders I think definatley have Grant lined up to return as this current Andy/Sam storyline climaxes. I honestly expect the BBC or another source to reveal the truth behind Kemp's return, but it seems the ideal time for him to make a comeback next year. Peggy returning on her own to sort Andy out just wouldn't work I don't think and apparently, Peggy threatens Andy in tomorrow night's episode I think that 'her boy's will be back if there is any bother'. That surely must be a hint

yeah she does say somthing to kate about grant and phil rubing her face in it so who knows.

I would love for Grant to return and the BBC denying it, well they denied that Dirty Den was coming back for a long time, all the while they were trying to coax him back. It does seem like the right time indeed for Grant to come back. How fantastic would it be if he came back with Peggy, Andy has done his worst, he owns all their businesses, Den Watts now owns the Vic! Sam his little sister is a suicidal wreck and Peggy is desperate to try and help her and restore the Mitchells to rule in Walford. I'm still trying to figure out how Phil can return, the way he was written out at Xmas was a bit strange.

I would love to see Michelle Fowler return with Grant's baby, now a young boy I would imagine.

i think they keep dropping hints that he will return, maybe theyre doing it on purpose, but i think he will return with peggy next year.

Him and Kim Medclaf have never worked together have they - so who knows if their scenes together would be any good.

Am I the only one who couldn't care less? Grant was alright, but people make out like he MADE the show, I personally could take or leave him.

Now someone like Kathy I'd MUCH rather see back...and to be honest, she still has beleivable reasons to go back so long as Ian is there.

Oh yeah and still no one seems to have figured out how Phil can make a beleivable return. Just how can they get him out of this? I don't understand at all and I actually wonder if the writers even thought about it at the time.

mate i totally agree with you, bringing back Phil will destroy any sense of credability the show has left - please LB take a hint and hand in your notice love and get your self on the witness protection program while your at it.

I saw a clip from tomorrows show earlier in the week, where the Poison Dwarf kicks off in Hey There Geordie Girl's face, and she says "you just wait, till i'm back, Phil's back, Grant's back, we're all back, in your face" or something like that. i'd like to see that day.

It will turn out that it wasnt actually FILL who was scooped by the cops but just someone who looke a bit like him. He has been living in Spain for a while until the heat dies down or LB thinks the viewers have forgotten. The he will appear at the Vic and grunt ello Mum

I'd like to see not only him return, but also michelle, simon and david wicks. You could have great storylines between michelle and grant (with the kid he doesn't know about) also Den will be there aswell. Simon as he could be introduced with the new steven character, and have a good storyline with Ian, he could also link up with den again. Then of course david wicks who was a quality character could also link up with simon.

I would love Grant to come back but I am not to keen on Phil. If I remember correctly didn't Grant leave in a dodgy way after they robbed those guys before he went into the canal. S if he does come back surely he will have to explain to the police why he did a runner because they were after him

i think it would be great to have Grant back... but i think they have to bring some big new storylines in with him.. not just for the ending of the Sam/Andy Fiasco!!!
