Hi, I just started listening to Pink Floyd, this is a great album but was wondering from fans which is the better one? Do you hear more from the stereo version?

For me it would be the mono version because that is how it was originally released.

the stereo version was only released a month later though

personally, even though less time was spent on the stereo mix (likewise less time spent on the quad mixes on the quad albums), i'd go with the stereo mix, especially if you are playing from the first official cd, as flaming is edited on that version, but it's in full on the 3cd reissue

i prefer the use of stereo on early recordings as they liked to whizz the sounds about the speakers and you get clearer separation of sound. it's a personal choice though
