Well most phones have a short life span now. Even the HTC devices etc. So you will always run the risk of another phone coming out months after you sign a contract.

What makes you think it will out next summer it could be another year or more away.Im off to an Android handset Samsung S3 perhaps or HTC Sensation XE.

Just something NEW really. I know the hardware has been upgraded but it's as if they're refining what worked a few years ago and aren't coming up with new ideas.

I know exactly what you mean. The weird thing is - and I realise this might sound odd - I was pretty much ready to buy the iPhone 5 no matter what it looked like, unless of course it was really hideous. I wasn't expecting anything particularly radical - just bigger screen, thinner etc. - but the spec bump to the iPhone 4 is just underwhelming. They can show off Siri and Infinity Blade as much as they want, but it still looks like an iPhone 4.
If they had put a bigger screen in it would beat sliced bread.
Most apps are piffling so the 512MB RAM is fine.
Is that improved camera lens bought off Sony?
Obviously it is harder to get exited with a new fangle dangle Android phone released almost every single week.
