I would go for the 4S tbh, 7 times better graphics and dual core processor.

Is the Google Nexus a good phone?

I must say, it looks great.

Not according to Engadget - the junction points and antenna remain the same.

Not sure why some people are disapointed, what were you expecting quad core?

Current range of android phones are also dual core and many have a worse gpu.

The same as the CDMA model, not the GSM model that had the problems.

On the front of the phone... What were you expecting? A separate detachable screen??

I for one will be getting the 4S when it is released, i have now had both iPhone and Android, and in the end, i'm much more of an iPhone/iOS fan.

Nobody can go on at me about not trying the other platforms anymore, in the end it comes down to personal choice

I was hoping for a refreshed design, a thinner body and a slightly bigger screen (although I think some phones at the moment, like the Desire HD and SGS2 have screens that are just too big). Now, it's just an iPhone 4.

According to engadget - The other major change, the antennas, weren't readily different at a glance, but as Mr. Cook stated, you'd have to be iFixit to notice (and we're sure they will).

It basically a spec upgrade as I see it. Improved speed, dual core, stills camera, 1080p video camera and antenna. Handy for travellers that need CDMA and GSM. Not that impressed by the Siri voice recognition features though - can't see myself actually using that. From £499 SIM free is expected but pricey though. However I am due an upgrade so will wait and see what it costs on contract. If iOS 5 runs smoothly on the previous models, the iPhone 4S is certainly not a 'must have' upgrade, if you've already got an iPhone 4.

At 9.3mm its not exactly thick is it, and a bigger screen means a bigger device and having seen 4.3 inch android phone they are to big IMO.

A new design would have been nice but apple tend to only do a redesign ever 2 years and considering most of us are locked in a 2 year contract that isn't a bad thing.

Agree like the iPhone 3GS compared to the 3G.

Plus those keeping there old Iphone 4's it won't look out dated like when the 3GS design was dropped. And even so the 3GS seems to be staying as it's getting IOS5.

Great news for 3GS owners, not many manufactures still support devices over 2 years old with a new OS release.

I think it's as many still like that curve design. The Iphone 4 is actually a good design. If people want it thinner there's the Ipod touch.

Guess there's no new Ipod touch this year just a price drop?

The voice thing looks potentially rather nifty:

Will be interesting to see some real world usage examples.

Yeah, this is true. I particularly agree with you on the 4.3 inch screens. Some people like them but I just think the phones themselves have too big a footprint (particularly the DHD).

I would just have liked to see something new. Other manufacturers are releasing new phones much more quickly and, whilst I don't think Apple should necessarily follow that strategy, it's been longer than usual between releases.

Does the end of this article give us some idea of our UK prices on a contract?

You are the only person on this thread to say that. Mind you I wasn't surprised looking at your services.

I understand what you mean even though others have bashed you . There's a difference between having your phone beside your ear and talking into it as a conversation compared to holding it in your hand saying 'Write text message to Sarah... Sarah I am going to be late home for dinner xoxo' or 'Google... Naked Pamela Anderson'

We've had voice control for years now on many phones, maybe not as integrated as Apple is going to have but does anyone here regularly use it?

I have a mate who more than a year after iPhone had video chat/calling (which other devices had years before) STILL insists that video calling and chatting will become popular. I don't think Apple have cottoned on to the practical point that people don't really want to shout at their phone to type a text message or want everyone else to hear their phone call in video call mode.
Video call has been around for years and never really made an impact so I don't know what Apple thought they would bring to the table to revolutionise it, there are a few good articles highlighting why Facetime might become popular (http://www.businessinsider.com/why-t...-failed-2010-6) but the white elephant in the room is that people don't want to broadcast their phone calls to everyone and video calling 99% of the time just isn't necessary.
