“iOS is now the number one mobile operating system, 43 percent compared to Android's 33 percent as of the July ComScore number Apple is quoting.”

How is that possible? I thought more Android phones were being bought each day compared to iOS phones? Or have Apple done some funny thing with the numbers?

Well considering Android is #1 in nearly every major market, including the 2 biggest US and EU, I don't quite know how Apple came to that conclusion...

Those stats showing iOS as the number 1 mobile OS must include the iPad as well. Slightly disingenuous, I think.

Lol 'we have integrated Twitter deeply into the OS'...that's nothing special considering Android has integrated Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Flickr, Picasa, Google Talk, Bebo for years...

I thought Apple were against using hardware buttons for other purposes, such as "volume up" for taking photos?

This idea of using the 'volume up' button to take a photo. Nice to have a phsyical button, but don't most people hold it the other way round?

But you forget you can now also swipe down from the top of the screen to get notifications....oh wait

You can now also edit photos....but hasn't there been apps out already that allow you to do that?

Some apps are always dodgy.

A genuine one that comes out from the manufacture should be better. Not that I have used a photo editing software app or an iphone.

Is that the new iphone in the pictures there? Looks odd.

What the Mail app desperately needs is a way of attaching photos. Currently, you can only do it from the Photos app, meaning you can only attach one to each message.

I've been following on engadget, and the blog has just crashed! So many people must be wanting to see Apple's big announcement... it's quite unbelievable.
