There are so many problems with the current wedding storyline between Andy and Sam. I know that you have to stretch belief, but this is ridiculous.

Surely, with Minty hearing Andy talking about getting ownership of the pub, garage, etc, Minty would have contacted Phil rather than trying to rush to the church.

Other options also open to Minty would be to have contacted Marcus or at least Peggy.

Also, Phil would have heard of Andy from his previous gangster days and so would know all about him. Thus, when Sam decided to marry him, as he has passed all his collateral over to Sam, he would without doubt have contacted Marcus to ensure that a prenuptial was arranged or even said to Sam if she marries him she loses all businesses.

We have to remember that both Grant and Phil were never keen on any of Sam's boyfriends and were totally over protective of her.

This is madness.

Peggy also tonight in my eyes was not real. It was like she was switching from Barbara Windsor to Peggy and back again. Perhaps all the sun abroad has gone to Peggy's head

Am I alone or is this just plain stupidity on the scriptwriters’ behalf?

Problem is technically Phil is still on the run so one would imagine his contact with the square is non excistant, even with his own family. You never heard of Sam getting early hours phone calls from her brother.

But I agree, pathetically poor story line really.

Yes phil is on the run yet they seem to be able to contact him when it suits them. Poor scriptwriting and storyline yet again

Go LB go

well when you think about it Minty was a "hard man" when he come into EE
and would have sorted Andy out himself ,
but thats soaps for you always changing characters personalities ,
thats the thing that makes me so mad

You're right Kizzie - MInty was 'muscle' - his first scene in EE was when he was about to beat up someone in the bedsits who hadn't paid their rent. When did he turn soft?

EE seem to be suffering from character inconsistencies at the present moment!

lets hope this new Asst. Ex -Producer will stop this ritual!
Too many characters seem to have complete changed their personalities within a few months!

I only watched the second half and just couldn't stop thinking of the resemblance between this wedding and Kat and Andy's non-wedding.

Same Church
Same Suit
Same chasing to the church and stopping the ceremony!

I couldn't see Peggy as Peggy either. Maybe she is softer?

Also, I just switched on when Sam had told Peggy of what Billy had done. Did she lie? What did she say?

Also...they had to fit this in some where "He ain't no Mitchell" (when referring to Billy).

Peggy invited them you know what she's like "Lets be the centre of attention wooo look at us!"

Peggy doesn't know how bad they are, well didn't.

Someone on another site has just reminded me of something else. Apparently Peggy was annoyed that the snooker hall is a burned out shell - but wasn't Billy overseeing the builders until recently? Shouldn't it be half way to being re-modelled by now? Any normal business would have had it up and running in double-quick time, otherwise there wasn't much point in burning it down.

Also - why did the Millers need to open a taxi account to go and get their dole when they have a van?

It'll probably be when Andy decides that he's been with Sam for long enough to take everything she's got, and he'll throw that at her

Sam was well out of order not telling Peggy the truth - that lil' mo in all her wisdom decided to have the child of the man who raped her and then expected Billy to bring it up with her. I really can't see her and Billy back together again - the whole issue of little mo has gone to far and they just need to kill her off - im sure Kasey wouldn't have a problem getting other roles.
