Where did I say Kylie was a US act? I used Kylie as an example of a non-US act like Rihanna.

Of course I understood the subject and that's why I gave a very logical answer in my initial post. The thing that I don't get is why you keep making excuses about something that really isn't that much of a big deal, but hey, I'll probably not get it, so each to their own ”

haha...you sound like a 15 year old trying to be a smart ass. Again I am responding to the topic at hand. You say you gave a 'logical answer' so why didn't you do so and leave and be done with it? Why keep coming back trying to dispute my responses by claiming that I had exaggerated Rihanna's album sales ect. You are obviously not a fan of the woman so why don't you move on from this thread about her and let me as a fan respond to those who question why she doesn't have a US no.1 album in peace?

I think Rihanna's recent UK promo has been top class which has meant big album sales. Her XFactor performances were well received, and she's constantly had a song out for radio play for about 2 years...and its taken her from just another R&B/Pop singer to a superstar.

I'm not sure what promo she's done in the US, but whatever she's been doing over here has done the business.

MTV Have always shunned Rihanna.

Got to laugh at Lady Gaga fans having a go though lol

Why does nationality matter?Rihanna is promoted in the US, Kylie wasn't.Simple as that.

Touched a nerve??Don't be mad.I love it when people run out of arguments and have to resort to something like what you posted Anyway, I already said "each to their own", so that whole rant of yours was unecessary, yet very entertaining

I don't think it matters if she hasn't had a number 1 album
Why are positions being questioned?

Kylie has done tours in the US, appeared on popular US latenight TV shows such as DWTS, Lopez etc. I really think you should keep mute on things you know nothing about....Simple as that.

“Kylie hit the US promotional trail hard, and appeared on numerous US shows to promote her album X, including The Today Show, Dancing With The Stars, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Late Late Show.

But, despite her attempts, the record All I See sold only 6,000 copies and debuted at number 139 on the US Billboard charts.

The only nerves you touched are your own hence the reason why you are devoting time and energy trying to downplay a popstar you more or less can't stand. Now run along now and play somewhere else!

Kylie has only promoted 3-4 albums of hers in the US, so she's not an act that focuses on the US.Thanks for proving my point

Well, I own 4 out of her 5 albums and I've posted in her appreciation thread.Just because I disagree with you, you just assumed that I can't stand Rihanna The only thing I can't stand is excuses for something that's not even a big deal, but for the third time "each to their own".And please don't talk about devoting time and energy when you ran to find a source about Kylie Now the last sentence shows exactly why I'm trying to end this by saying "each to their own" repeatedly. It seems like when somebody dares to disagree with what you consider the truth, you take it personal Again, EACH TO THEIR OWN.

Oooh ..someone is getting really het up about this aren't they?

Taking a few seconds to google and come up with a couple of links to prove you wrong about Kylie's heavy promotion is not devoting time and energy to a cause.

However coming in a thread and making comments like ' I can't disagree with their attitude towards her' and trying to downplay the ww sales of Rihanna's last album tells me that you are not someone who is particularly a devoted fan.

Also please bear in mind that you first responded to my comment not the other way around so preaching 'each their own' after you have had you ass handed to you doesn't wash with me. If you truly believed the 'each to their own' mantra then you would have kept it moving after you made your initial response to this topic instead of coming back to argue with me because you disagreed with my response.

(OK, you're VERY immature, but hey, at least you amuse me )
I can't disagree with their attitude, because 'Loud' was not cohesive, so they would prefer to buy songs off of it.I disagreed with what happened to 'Rated R' which is still my favorite Rihanna album, but when it comes to 'Loud' and the rest of her albums, I understand why they didn't get enough attention in the first week to get to No.1.The reason why I responded to you is because you mentioned her origins and I was curious to know why you did that and then you mentioned something about her not being promoted () and that was strange too, so I responded to that. Now you're really trying to make a rant out of it and I'm sure that I'm not the only one who feels uncomfortable about it, especially when you can't even control yourself enough to exclude such phrases like the one I have highlighted. When I understood that we won't agree on anything then I said "each to their own".Isn't that what people do when they can't reach an agreement??But you keep trying to create a fight about it.So for the 5th time, "each to their own"

I have already explained what I meant by Rihanna's promotion in the US which is almost non existent compared to other US artists and that the fact that she is seen a foreigner in the US and given that a US no.1 album is not a must for her career or stature in the global POP world...again see Kylie.

Anyway, you sound like a small child. Please concentrate on your studies at school and perhaps that way you will learn argue your point effectively and cohesively without behaving like your temple is going to explode.

Already done so this morning

Sorry if I came across as rude...I'm just a tad bit passionate when I argue my stance. No harm or offence intended.
