The toe curdling presentation

Production should leave the man to his ad-libs for which he has a genuine talent

Ah Brucies great.. and his toupe rocks...

Let him go as long as he can I say.. he loves the show and its classic saturday night fare.

Better him than the likes of Vernon Kaye, paddy McGuiness etc etc

LOL I don't think my toes have ever been curdled before, unless you count the time I had a milk bath in a spa in Turkey

Absolutely. Or even worse, Graham Norton

I'd rather have anybody EXCEPT Bruce as the main presenter.

The show doesn't NEED his tired old lame jokes or constant "I'm in charge/ look at me" presenting style.

Tom Bergeron on DWTS shows that you don't need to try and be funny all the time to present an entertaining show - he is absolutely brilliant.

And Doghouse - as I have heard all of Brucie's "jokes" before on his other shows - I'd hazard a guess that he is responsible for the vast majority of his material!

Yep, agree! Only one to replace him for me would be Anton!

The sooner Vernon Kay takes over the better. he has great experience dealing with celebrities on All Star Family Fortunes.

He'd be better suited as a judge. When asked to comment on the dancing ability of Nancy or Robbie (for example) I can just hear him saying:

"Ower survey said......IT'S NOT THURRR!!"

Even more wearing are Sir Bruce's never-ending references to his age -- a preemptive laugh at himself, mounting an attack as the best defence.

Watched the new ITT for the first time last night. Out went the old emphasis on Claudia's glamour and wit, in came more footage on celebs and dancers. Customers will decide which they prefer.

It's certainly true that Vernon would make fine judge. It's a little known fact that he is a fine dancer so with his knowledge of dance, great empathy and quick wits he would bring a lot to the roll.

However someone of his talent and experience would be better suited to a more leading roll and where better than beside his lovely wife Tess. You have to admit the chemistry between them would be great.

As far as I'm concerned, Bruce can stay until he doesn't want to do the show any more and then I hope he is replaced by Anton.

I think he is getting a bit old for it, I keep thinking the excitement is going to get too much for him and he'll have a funny turn live on tv . He does seem part of it now though, if he leaves it wont be the same

Brucie is ace!

It's his jokes that lead to the self-depreciating style of the show.

It's a very attractive quality that is, almost, totally missing from shows like The X-Factor.

You might think Brucie's bad, but can you imagine just how bad it would be with a presenter who took Strictly seriously, or had an anonymous and bland scripted 'humour'? I'd keep Brucie and his cracker box jokes.

Just to add my two peneth...Bruce can be funny at times, but I hate the puns the script writers add in...one that made me roll my eyes this week came from Tess regarding holly valance...if you don't want holly to kiss kiss good bye.. (or something like that) I cringed and so did holly.
I think Anton would be a good replacement when Bruce retires.

^ I can understand why Anton wants a change of career now. What's it really like dancing with Nancy?
