Really? That sounds really gross...considering that they were brother and sister on the show - even though it isn't really!

that reminds me of an old Shortland Street storyline involving Rangi and Donna.
Also, apparently Danny (Alex in H&A) has now joined the cast of Blue Heelers.

Ahhhh yes Rangi and Donna! That went on for two years.

Its a shame Shortland Street has been taken off in most parts of the UK because the current NZ episodes are the most exciting the show has been in about five years.

I remember the 99 episodes, they were so good towards the end of the year that they had 2 huge cliffhangers per episode !!!
The last cliffhanger of the season finale was Eamon hanging off a cliff
whilst Kate was staring at him (she'd drugged him too) if memory serves, and the first one was Frank left seriously injured in the car park.
The storylines were awesome at the time, Frank was going out with this woman who had CJD, only he wasn't sure if she was faking and it was only after she'd died and he got the autopsy report that he found out that she was really sick with the disease.
Yep, Shortland St and Sons & Daughters will always be the best soaps in the world

Actually, the storylines you mentioned were in 2000.

were they, in fact we had them a couple of years later on ITV.
They stopped just as the cast was being replaced.
It's sad they sacked Rangi, he was great, like when he was managing Donna (when she wanted to be a singer), he came in to work one morning with his sunglasses, Minnie and the others at the front desk started to give him sh*t about it, and he went :
-Oh, the glasses, I had a late session last night, at the recording studio.
And then he walked off.
The way he said it like he was a big time music producer was absolutely hilarious.

Actually, they never sacked Rangi...he was one of the few that left of his own accord during that period. In fact, his departure was so unexpected, the writers were forced to do a rush job on his exit storyline as Blair Strang wanted to get out of the show as quickly as possible.

Its rumoured that he was angry about the fact that they fired Katrina Devine (Minnie) who he was married to in real life (They are now seperated).
