Stores will have the two albums sitting next to one another, online retailers will suggest it too, in general many people will want some more Adele and it's available.

i still thought that statistic was interesting and was something i was unaware of. adele in a way is doing the reverse of gaga. her début sold well. however, it wasn't a worldwide smash like gaga`s début. whereas adele now has a worldwide smash this year and her début album is picking up extra sales off the back of it.

btw is still doing extremely well whichever way people want to view it and this era is far from over.

It's more than interesting, it's actually almost unbelievable! No-one would have predicted such a happening just 4 months ago when BTW opened up with over a million copies sold. Maybe there should be a separate thread on it? Yes, I'm being sarcastic.

to be honest, i like the pair of them for very different reasons. i have the all the four albums mentioned. i give my original tf cd away, when she issued tfm. there is room for both artists and they are completely different in genres. only one will be the best album this year. however, they both have the potential to have long careers in the music business.

i have no interest in `fan wars`. personally, if i like something i will say so and wont be biased towards other artists. i did find that information interesting and thanks for posting those facts.
