They say the MJ tribute concert would be televised around the globe, but it doesn't seem to appear to be scheduled for the UK. I would have imagined Virgin's On Demand would broadcast it as part of its LIVE EVENT stream. I checked the music channels but nothing on there either.

Firstly, it doesnt exactly look like it is going to be a Live Aid type spectacle. In fact a bit dull imo. Secondly, who in their right mind would put it on Saturday agaisnt X Factor? I expect it'll turn up later in highlights form. If there are any

None of those events are televised in my country, so it doesn't make a difference I couldn't care less about TV, as long as I can find some good quality videos online But it's definetely exciting.I wasn't even born when MJ rose, peaked and fell, but I definetely know that he's one of the most creative and interesting performers with a huge back catalogue, so the tribute will be impressive.

I'm mostly checking for Christina, but I'll watch the whole night.Even if it's mediocre, it will still beat those dull award shows

You would rather watch things on a small computer screen than a big tv with surround sound and sitting back not having to fiddle with a keyboard?

As I said in my post, none of those big events are broadcasted in my country, so I don't really have an option. And honestly, I prefer online videos, because you can skip whatever you're not interested in and only watch a part of it.You can pause it, you can resume it, pretty much anything you want.Of course watching it on TV is a bit more exciting, but I can definetely settle for my computer...

Yeah I heard it was on Sky Arts HD on Oct 15th... can't remember for the life of me where I read that though.

I've just watched a couple of Youtube clips and seriously some of the artists NAILED those songs - Xtina did an incredible Dirty Diana, Beyonce nailed I Wanna Be Where You Are... loved Yolanda's Earth song too! and not to forget Leona's I'll Be There... absolutely beautiful, and much better than what she did on the X-Factor FIVE years ago

I really want to see Alexandra Burke do Scream, apparently she totally killed it, routine and all... I know she's a MASSIVE MJ fan, so that should be really good to see!

What Sky Arts will it be shown on? I looked for it on both channels on it's not advertised for the 15th, according to Virgin's TV guide.

So it's been snipped? It was on for longer than that. I wish someone would make up their minds, it's either the 15th or 22nd

ah thanks! Wonder why it was moved back a week. It wouldn't surprise me if it was cancelled altogether

First it was supposed to be globally televised, then you had to stream it on FB and pay, then they said the performances would be on FB straight after each act, and now it's been trimmed down to a two hour highlights show?

If they cut out Leona's performances, I will not be happy... actually how long did the gig go on for? A Lot pulled out (BEP, JHud, etc etc) didn't they?

They won't cut out Leona's "I'll Be There" because that was the first performanc where they started showing Michael Jackson's photo's and the pictures combined with Leona's stunning voice made for a very special moment I was told.
Leona is so underrated in the UK. She's proving she can do it all (ballads, tributes, uptempo).

Can't wait for this to televised, should be great to see Alexandra's peformance too! She's so talented.

But there was turnaround time between acts so probably more like 2hrs45mins of actual performances, maybe less.

Hopefully they cut out Latoya's performances, nobody is here for that mess.

TBH all I really care about seeing is Christina's performances, from the fan videos on YT, her rendition of Dirty Diana sounds absolutely brilliant and her vocals on Smile seem like they could be some of her best in year, will have to wait til I hear in HQ though.

I may watch some more performances, but the only one that I MUST see is Christina. She's the only one who had me interested enough to watch all the low quality clips I could find because I couldn't wait.Thinking about it, it's a shame that most people are checking for 3-4 performers at most out of what should have been a mindblowing concert Anyway...

They should broadcast the concert as it would be a fitting tribute to a legend.

It's a shame they'll probably cut out loads because despite the awful organisation surrounding the event it sounds like it was actually a good show in the end. I'm glad those who went enjoyed it. It would have been horrible for fans to pay for tickets and spend more money and time travelling to get there only for it to have been the crap concert I was expecting.

Can't believe this hasn't already been mentioned. Four hours of MJ songs, and they somehow managed to miss out 'Thriller', 'Man In The Mirror' and 'Beat It'. Not quite sure how that happened...

Either way, it was an incredible show. Highlights for me were Christina's 'Dirty Diana', Leona's 'I'll Be There' and 'Earth Song' by some woman I'd never heard of. It was epic.
