Will Cher Lloyd release anything in the U.S?
Jessie J released her album and it did o.k and Price tag did well too. I was listening to Cher's new song, With ur Love featuring mike Posner, and I think it could be a hit. What do you think?

I hope she never releases anywhere again. She's a bully, a stuck up being and the music is beyond awful. Swagger Jagger is just the worst song I have ever heard.

The song sounds too similar to Lay It On Me (which is flopping), which sounds too similar to Right There (which flopped), which sounds too similar to What's My Name (which was a hit).
It would flop. |

Not now. She's not ready. She hasn't reached the full peak of awfulness that the US mainstream demands. If she works on ruining her voice and making it nasal and if she discovers an autotune maniac to produce her songs, she's definetely going to make it!

One truly awful UK no1 doesn't mean she can do well in the US. No X Factor exposure either. She wouldn't get in the top 1000.

Well she says swag in all her songs so they'd probably love her.

I hope not. Couldn't inflict anything she releases on another continent. It's bad enough her tripe is released in the UK.

She did release Swagger Jagger on US iTunes but it can't have done much with no promo. It may have somehow creeped into the 900s or something? :P

The US wouldn't like her
She is too much of a wannabe and she tries too hard and the americans won't like that The only reason why Jesse did well with Price tag because she has a good voice and she had B.O.B attached to the song. It was the same with Taio when he added Ludacris to Break your heart. |

It won't work because Wigga British girls trying that stuff in America is laughable to them. It's why N-Dubz went nowhere despite Tulisa's attempts at networking. It's why Lady Dynamite went nowhere. It's why Lady Sovereign went nowhere.
Jesse J got airplay because B.O.B. was on the track Price Tag. That's it. Because he is a star and she is not and his fans want to collect his discography. Seriously, anyone trying to use Jamaican patois or gangsta rap slang when they come from a priviledged middle class upbringing... when they have real artists that have suffered real hard times out there... it's insulting to them. Why accept a crap Brit import trying to play gangsta chick when they have the authentic artists on their doorstep? Over here we're mostly white middle and working class so we don't mind one of our own doing a transatlantic impersonation, it's made for our lamer sensibilities and is less threatening to the general public's perceptions as a result. Cher Lloyd is not Miley Cyrus and she ain't Lil Mama. She ain't got the industry backing of a Willow Smith. She'd go nowhere except ending up as a punch line for Pitchfork Media as slang for "crap British wannabe rappers" like Lady Sov is now. |
