*Trixie*

EASTENDERS IN BOMB SHOCK HORROR

It has been revealed that the 20th birthday edition episode of Eastenders is to have a huge car bomb blast that will rock Albert Sq to its foundations.

The bomb will be planted in a car outside Pauline Fowlers house and will go off while a party is taking place inside the vic it will also take the lives of three walfords residents and leave others fighting for there lives the Fowler house and the Vic will be left in carnage.

The storyline set to cause outrage has been planned for months and the BBC are bringing in top stunt people from the USA to help flim the shocking scenes in December and January a BBC insider said all is riding on this it is going to be huge and the biggest event in Eastenders history .

It is also the biggest soap stunt since the 1993 Emmerdale plane crash and BBC bosses are hoping this will seal the EE comback.

All this has been revealed by an EE writer (Bet there in deep sh!t)

EASTENDERS stars are furious over a new TV show in which viewers will vote for their favourite character.

The BBC1 soap’s biggest names hate the idea because it will also reveal who is the LEAST liked.

Britain’s Best EastEnder will be screened next February to celebrate the show’s 20th anniversary.

A spokeswoman for EastEnders said: “The show is a bit of fun to celebrate our anniversary and many of the cast members will be involved.”

I have just heard about this too! Dereck must be one of the ones that die and I bet the other are extras although it could be ronnie tariq and spencer or is that wishful thinking!

This sounds really good. They like having something to do with a bomb in the anniversary editions don't they.

Maybe Dot will faint again.

Whoopee! Let's all get excited because there is going to be an explosion. Pathetic. Get a life, you lot!

Big sensational stunts to desperately try to gain ratings is the way Brookside went. And that is why Brookside died, because people were sick of all the over the top plots. It stopped being real.

Enders is more of a joke than ever. It's very sad. Thay are killing a once great show with such absurdities.

I also heard in an LB interview that the Ferreiras contracts are due for renewal around the time of the 20th anniversary - maybe an excuse to blow a few of them up?

How is it being absurd bombs happen all the time in London and it is a fact of life nowadays it is about time a soap refected this good on the bbc on having the guts to do it I can remember a similar being planned a few years ago but they dropped it out of fear of causing to much outrage.

Yea that would be good!

It does actually sound fantastic, but the thing is, whoever wrote that, I hate the line, "BBC bosses are hoping this will seal the EE comeback."

Err, big stunts do not solve problems, they just briefly bring in ratings. The writing, direction, characters etc need to be worked on to make the show better as a whole so I hope they plan on doing that before or at least make sure it happens straight afterwards...

I was just about to mention Brookside. I never watched it but I hear no end of people saying once it turned rubbish they relied on huge sensational plots but the show didn't actually improve as a whole. Dunno how true that is, but it's a worry.

Brookside blew something up every time it needed a ratings lift - 3 houses on the close exploded, then there was the 2002 helicopter crash on the petrol station, the 1998 gas explosion on the parade, and the millennium club bombing in 2000. it just got ridiculous!

This in comparison sounds ok - EE are not over-frequent users of spectacular stunts to pull in viewers - as long as its done properly and not a repeat of the pathetic fairground "disaster"!

No I don't think this will be like the Fairground Disaster or anything like it. This storyline does really good and I'm sure the storyline leading up to the bomb being planted will be quite controversial. I've noticed car bombs aren't frequent in the soaps for some reason. It is the thing to do in soap, a big anniversary, have a huge storyline that rocks the show to its very core, excellent, looking forward to it.

And Street worker or whatever yer bloody name is, if you don't like it thats fine, dont' start insulting those that do like the sound of it, you muppet!

I thought the Brookie Siege storyline was excellent and its sure to be rivalled by EastEnders 20th bash.

Well each to their own I suppose.

Whomever implied that car bombs are a fact of life and that it's brave for the BBC to reflect that must be totally insane. What a complete load of twaddle. It's a sensational stunt designed to bring in viewers. There's no bravery involved. It will bring in ratings, but at what cost to the ongoing credibility of the programme? And car bombs are a part of everyday life in what way? The threat of them perhaps, but I hardly think any bomber will blow up an east end square! The threat is perhaps somewhat more likely in the west end.

All soaps are resorting to more and more outrageous storylines, and whatever the dramatic build up will be, this one is a case in point. And each soap seems to have some kind of car crash or fire at least twice a year. Enders has lost the most credibility with the return of Den Watts. Pure sensationalism. For a short term ratings gain when he came back, the long-term cost the show continues to pay is high.

I've no doubt they'll spend a lot of money on the stunt and that it will look amazing, but is it worth it in the long run? You may have enjoyed the Brookside seige, but that show is dead now because of such things.

I like the muppets, by the way. So thanks for calling me that. That show is much more realistic and entertaining than Enders currently is, I'm sorry to say.

I can see Sharon being one of those killed as Letitia Dean wants to leave.

I suspect that Albert Square is a target because it is always on the TV.
Frankly I am disgusted. This will be the 2nd attack in as many months on Arthur's bench.

I agree. If EE is to make a comeback then the storylines and characters have to improve between now and February, and then this 20th Anniversary thing will give the final boost EE needs, but they have to improve in the next 5 months before an explosive storyline can have a real impact on EE's standing and not just ratings.

I think you are getting London mixed up with Baghdad. Car bombs in London are not a regular occurrence and when thay have exploded in the past they have generally been against so called commercial targets.

Err, what part of London do you live in , remind me never to go there . True, during the IRA campaign bombs were a fact of life in London, and other cities in the UK, but not for quite a few years now.

I bet this bomb will be aimed at Andy Hunter as I had heard that they were going to kill him off in the New Year with another "who done it" storyline. Maybe it's going to be someone from the "underworld" that finally takes his revenge on Andy?

Plus the fact the Vic needs a new look, I was watching last night and noticed how shabby the Vic set was looking now, so it would give the set designers a chance to refurbish the Vic. Perhaps the party is to celebrate Den Watts buying the Vic?

How can you 'let slip' that much information. I think Eastender's might be trying to throw people off the scent but only time will tell.
