Hi,

Is there much choice available for an external keypad for use with an android phone and if so, which are the better built and more robust makes?

There seems to be a few on the flea pit for around £10 to £15 and I wondered if these were any good?

Don't bother with an external keypad. unless you're writing a novel. Just get Swype, it's free and has revolutionised text input for me. It's strange at first, but give it 15-20 minutes practice, you'll never want to use any other method.

yeah I tried swype, didn't do it for me. Swiftkey gets thumbs up though, as for the OP I'm not sure what you're after - something that you carry along with your phone? or something you only use at home/the office, when you already have a desktop or laptop....

edit: personally I'm disappointed these never caught on:

loved that phone though.
