I tried to go with them but they didn't want me even though I've been paying a high amount for TV, Broadband & Phone every month without a missed payment for years they couldnt even offer me a contract mobile at £12 a month!!! I know they are a separate checking system but you'd think now that they would all be integrated as it's been about 4 years since it was all one.

Virgin Mobile is a virtual mobile network (MVNO).

They use T-Mobile/Orange (Everything Everywhere) Networks.

Nothing wrong with that but they should not be compared to network operators like EE, Vodafone, 3 & 02.

Virgin Mobile are similar to Asda, Tesco, Lyca, TalkTalk and GiffGaff mobile as service providers.

What you need to do is ring VM customer services on 150 from your landline and select option 5. You will then be put through to someone in this country who knows what they are talking about. Explain that you have been with them for a long time and are having difficulty getting a mobile deal - they will transfer you to the VM mobile people who will give you a deal. That was my experience.

Deals in my family from VM:

Free HTC Wildfire S, 300 mins, 300 texts, 1GB data. £11.50

Free Blackberry, 200 mins, 200 texts, 1GB data, free Messenger. £9.50

PAYG - Simply 8p: 8p / min, 8p texts and free calls to Virgin mobiles.

You also get free calls from VM landline to all VM mobiles.

Another trick is to get some prices from cashback mobile websites for comparision and quote the deal to VM, including the cashback. Ask them to price match.

Me and my wife recently went on holiday to a tiny village in the Perth area in scotland, her phone on o2 had no signal whereas mine on threeUK had a full signal!
