Hi all,

A friend of mine bought this phone from ebay a few weeks ago. She didn't realise that it was coming from Hong Kong and that it would all be in Chinese...

I have managed to change the language to english but some of the functions are still in Chinese and I can't find the Android Market app (although not sure I should be able to)

Am trying to do a software upgrade via the PC companion program but atm I can't get the two to talk to each other...

Does anyone have any idea how I can completely change it over to english without having to root it- which I'm not confident doing to someone else's kit.

A factory reset might do the trick, as it normaly asks for language etc after first boot.
But you will lose stuff off the phone by doing this and it isnt 100% that it will ask for language(but it normaly does, on android).

Unfortunately not.

Tried to do a factory reset and then to repair by connecting to the computer through the Companion program but it just wouldn't recognise the phone was there

Most of the phone content is in English which my friend might be happy with, I wouldn't be though and I shall recommend she tries to get her money back (she has been told she can)

thanks for the help
