she does leave - but i suspect she will be back sometime next year to cause more trouble.

The woman who plays Val, didn't she use to be in Byker Grove?

i dunno, i ddint much watch byker grove, i think she should return though, shes actually a really good character, was she only meant to be in it for a short amount of time?

HaHa Safra - as soon as I saw the topic of this thread (and infact any time I see Val) the words "Oooooh.......Byker!" go through my head.

She played the Youth Worker called Sian, I think when she arrived all the other "Grovers" didn't like her.

I also hope that Val returns at some point because she is a bit of bitch and a good one at that! It seems a bit odd that she is going anyway as I thought TPTB were doing a good job of building up Diane's family, what with Val and Paul. She is also a good character and I think Charlie Hardwick plays her well. Val and Diane are very believable sisters - and there arguments make great viewing!
