18th September show
Couldn't believe the girl with the blind boy said what she said. All three judges loved his voice, hated hers, it was clear she should pull out if she wants him to go futher, but what does she do? Oh.. *I'LL* show them. Oh right, so he has no input or decision in that?
Seems to me like she can't handle not being in control of him, really sad.. he could go far and won't because of her. Interesting to see Cowell throw that "Yes, you're overweight" or did he say fat? and then sit back and watch how she responded. Seemed to change his mind that did. |

Loadsa kids watch the show, and they don't want to endorse smoking, so they didnt want to give them impression that smoking's cool since Simon Cowell does it, or thats what im pretty sure it is

Blanking out Simon's cigarette
What a joke!
You could still see the smoke coming out of it. It was so obvious he was holding a cigarette. If they were really concerned about not promoting smoking they'd have done a better job (or asked simon not to smoke durign the interview). It was just done to shut the anti-smoking brigade up. I don't want smoking promoting on primetime TV but this was a joke. |

Ho ho at Sharon - "why the smelly ones?!"

The guy who is 144 years old! Weird or what, but really fascinating - I don't think we've seen the last of him.
And the blind guy/duo - does anyone else think they have been on another show before? I think I have, maybe someone really like them, a couple of years ago? |

Quite a few good ones tonight I thought. Loved the lad in the dungarees and the blind lad had a great voice. Didnt think the lady singing When I fall In Love was anything special though.

Blurring out Simons smoke was a joke wasn't it?
The blind guy is going to win, I fell in love with the Irish girl, was it Roberta? She was lovely, almost as attractive as the Gemini twins from week one

yeah i thought there harmonies were a bit ropey... but then with a few lessons they have a potential to big very sucessful!!!
I am getting a bit sick of their picking on bands and telling them that only one of them is good.. i am sure they are only doing it for the contreversy!!! But they boyband...well they dont deserve fame.... they obviously wouldnt be able to handle it anyway!!! |

![]() I had a look on the official site, and google but I can't find his name, I agree that describing him in terms of his lack of sight is a bit dodgy, I didn't think I agree, the harmonies were a bit off, but she had a better voice than some that have gone through in my opinion. Like you say, a bit of practice and they should sound better next time

I suppose I was the only one who thought the girl was actually better than Peter. She was doing the melody and he was doing the harmony so if the harmonies were out she wasn't to blame. He did have a pleasant enough sounding voice but that was about it. I hope they're not just after the novelty value of a having a blind boy in the series because that would be cruel.

I really liked the girl that was overweight, the newylwed, i thought she was really beautiful with a really ncie voice. But the Irish girl i thought was stunning with a not great voice. That boyband won't last 5 minutes, i would ahve told that guy he wasn't through to the next line when Simon said you're better than the rest and he said "yes I know." *slap* Did love Andy(?) dunagrees boy, he was just so sparkly. |

I must admit to having a tear in my eye when that 40-something lady was trying one last time to get into the business after her (ex)husband had denied her two opportunities in the past.

I have a feeling (although i've looked around on the net aand can't find anything) that they were on Star for a night (juniour) on the bbc presented by Jane Mcdonald. |

They showed a lot more of Andy on ITV2. He has got bags of personality and they even got him singing You`ll Never Walk Alone. I think we will be seeing a lot more of him. The standard of singing is actually getting better and we could be in for a much more entertaining series of live shows than the last series of Pop Idol.
