Thanks Chris very much for these wonderful videos. A lot of work for you so appreciated.

Also love the film A lot like Love - worth a look if you have'nt seen it.

Lovely tweet from Faye and they will definately not get a sofa this side of Xmas.

Also lump in my throat sometimes throughout the series and such heartfelt words from Aaron which has him admitting that he does feel that he is punching above his weight - so not the case they are well matched. Also watching the date night again and you are all so true that Jay was gutted when they admitted that they were going on the date. He was annoyed and Aaron was so chuffed coming out of the DR.

So wish these two so much happiness in the future.

That whole sequence is so riddled with double entendres it's just wonderfully silly. Faye is massively messing about and having a giggle, but also subconsciously "setting out her stall" with some mildly smutty flirting, and waiting for Aaron to bite. We know (from "Aaron the Enigma") that by this time she already finds something intriguing and attractive about him but Aaron's feelings are unclear at this point (and for a some time longer, tbh). That's why she seems to spend much of the date prodding Aaron into revealing who has caught his eye.

Quote:
“One thing I have always wondered was that in the DR she said she could go for the fun option or the serious one. I have always wondered which was which ”

Oh Aaron was always the "fun option" - she saw a date with Jay as being a serious statement of intent, i.e. a deliberate move to attract a partner within the house, whereas she viewed a date with Aaron as nothing more than a "casual night out" with no greater expectation or profound significance. At this point she thinks he a) doesn't like her, b) is interested in somebody else and c) is probably gay, but ultimately chooses the date as an opportunity to get to know Aaron better and perhaps satisfy the curiosity that inexplicably has her "strung to [him]" even then. She considers him a bit of a geek but not, at this point, a "hot geek".

As it turns out, on the build up to the date she becomes unexpectedly nervous and apprehensive (she even changes her pants!) and begins to think of it more as a 'real' date, surprising herself with how invested she is in a successful outcome.

Fortunately, it all turns out beautifully - the smutty chicken innuendos go down very well and it becomes apparent they share a similar sense of humour. Conversation flows easily, and even the obligatory cheesy slow dance isn't that awkward.

From pretty much this point on, I believe she's sold on Aaron, even if she's not prepared to completely acknowledge it. Because Aaron took much longer to give away any real clues as to what he felt, Faye, being both competitive and insecure, for a long time tried to cover and protect herself, saying he "wasn't [her] type" etc. rather than risk "losing" i.e. being made to look like a '********' if the emotions weren't reciprocated.

Interestingly, someone pointed out on the Aaron AT that Faye says " I could go for fun" (gestures with right hand) "or serious" (gestures with right hand again).

This could suggest that subconciously to Faye, fun and serious were the same option (person) and jay was never really in the frame.

Just before she was called in to choose, Jay was doing some major flirting. After looking deep in to his eyes he said I can't win can I? Her reply was no not really. Also when she did the ip dip thing in the diary room she obviously didn't like the result I think Aaron was always her choice she was just looking for validation. I don't think Jay was ever a serious contender.

I agree with your summary of events and feelings other than I do believe Faye was attracted to him from day 1, however the green toes gaff put a quick stop to that .

Faye as far as I can see only used one hand because she was leaning on the other arm so kept using the only free arm.

Another thing I noticed after 10 days she did not seem bothered in the slightest that Jay also fancied Louise more than her, however only 7 days after the dinner date she was more than a little upset at kissgate, that shows the lack of real interest in Jay as opposed to Aaron.

I think she was attracted to Aaron the night she entered the house.Sitting on the sofa she said to Tashie & Maisy she liked Geeky guys. Maisy asked her Harry? She said no & she was about to answer when Tashie I think said Jay.

She obviously wanted to talk to Aaron during the first week, as everyone was telling Aaron he should get to know her. I just think she tried to convince herself she liked Jay because her first choice wasn't showing any interest. Probably one of the reasons she cried when nominating Aaron in the first week. The night when she was drunk & she said to Aaron I don't think you could fall in love with me & he said I will give it a go. Although it was a joke I think as soon as they started talking any interest she may have had in Jay disappeared.

Loving the analysises (lol - is that a word?! What is the plural of analysis??! )

Personallyme, I think she did like him from the start, subconsciously anyway. She is the only one having a moan about him not talking to her in the first week. If she didn't like him, why would she care?! We never saw anyone else mention it, that I can think of.

Also when she speaks to him about them talking more before the first eviction, she wishes him good luck and hugs him. She wouldn't have done that imo if she didn't like him - hug him I mean.

Watching that it looked like a chat up line to me.Clearly Faye fancied him, they may have not a proper conversation in the first week but there were lots of little gestures and I had no doubt in my mind when she was chosing a date, she was going to chose Aaron.Aaron just backed off after the disastrous "are your toes always green?".If Faye had responded they would have hit it off straight away.I do think Aaron lacked confidence as for a long time he thought he was punching above his weight and Faye didnt understand that at all.

She did make the effort to talk to him and as you say why bother if she did not care or feel nore like feel an attraction to him.

Yes I think this is right.

The conversation in the lounge with Mark & Aaron when she said she wanted to hug Aaron but not in a sexual way. as she could see a vulnerability & she was strung to him. Also outside the diary room when she asked him who he fancied? All this was her fishing, shame it took him so long to take the bait but thankfully he got there in the end

It was funny how Aaron avoided Faye's subtle hints,I do think he saw them but couldnt believe it was happenning. And after the date Faye just seemed confused to me on how to take it forward. Then he kissed Maisy and Faye couldnt hide her interest any longer.

I honestly thought Faye was chatting Aaron up by all that talk

Aaron did not seem to see it as a chat up line possibly because she was half cut or because he thought why would she fancy me.

I am not so sure about Aarons lack of confidence as such, when such a lovely looking woman a few years younger than you starts chatting you up he must have thought why.

He did have doubts whether this was just a house romance and if Faye would find a fitter younger man when she got out, that was fair enough but he is exactly what she was looking for in a man.

We also had her smiling more at his kiss than anyone else's during her secret mission prior to the date.

All the signs were definately there

I think they both suffered from the same lack of confidence & couldn't understand why someone so good looking would like them. This was most of the problem, two very insecure people who had no reason to be so. Someone must have done a number on each of them in the outside world.

Like you I had no doubt she would choose Aaron for the date. However after the date if Faye had made her feelings clear, then the Maisy disaster would never have happened. s she would never have been in his bed. However I think this needed to happen for Faye to finally open up.

I think so too. Aaron is a sharp cookie so it's a wonder how he missed it.

I think we had Faye sussed out from very early on, as for Aaron I think you could discuss him forever & not come to a common consensus.

I agree Faye was looking for a man like Aaron but Aaron didnt see himself as that man.Of the two Faye was more certain although it took her a bit longer to show her emotions.I dont think she had any second thoughts about moving to Weston once Aaron suggested, that is the man she always wanted.

No second thoughts at all I agree. I know it's very early but I think if he was to give her an engagement ring (maybe over Xmas) then like a shot she would say yes.

Both of them seem to have found what was missing in their past relationships in this relationship.

Yes but I have a feeling that in her case her insecurities resonated more from her family.

I recently re-watched the Tuesday 20 September episode on FiveonDemand - the day after their first date:

Aaron has got Faye and the other girls cups of tea and has a joke with Faye and walks off:

Faye then says to Lou and Maisy she is no longer interested in someone in the house. Louise asks if it's Aaron. Faye says no it's Jay. LOL ! I think she was beginning to show interest in someone else ......

Yep Faye was pretty easy to suss. I'm still confused about Aaron, he seems to be all manner of extremes, e.g saying he does alright with the ladies, but then not believing his luck about Faye. Being completely insecure about Faye leaving the house before him, but being so self assured in himself as a person. I think we could talk about him for years and not get to the bottom of it!
