EE: Sharon?
jamesrlaming

Does sharon leave for good when she does, or is it just because leticia dean needs a break, and is taking a break from EE, so will she be back or wont she?

if her and vicki are leaving i really dont see much point in the awful Den staying, but as Dennis hasnt actually been annoying me lately i think he should stay , with chrissie.

I thought Sharon was leaving for good but some people on here say she is just taking a break. I hope she is just taking a break though as i actually like Sharon! When Phil returns id love for these 2 to reunite! Imagine the look on Den's face!

Letitia isn't leaving for good. It's confirmed. Only Vicki is officially leaving, but they are getting someone else to replace her, so excluding all the breaks, ALL the Watts are staying. Yay... Sort of

i think if she gets a better offer during her break she won't bother coming back.
But if she doesn't then she probably will return - but say this she is keeping her options open by not signing a new contract - so don't get your hopes up shannis fans.

how long has she been back for now?

It was 2001, if memory serves me, where Sharon returned to the Square as part owner of the Vic, Steve Owens secret business partner. "...evening Peggy. Bet you never thought you'd see me again...". She left, obviously, in 1995. A shame she couldn't have been brought in and entwined in the Who Shot Phil? story earlier in 2001, although I suspect it was better off she didn't: just that the story had built up and involved all the suspects - Mel, Lisa, Mark, Ian, Dan & Steve - so well for months, injecting Sharon into not only the soap, but the story, would have been very artificial. still, neat idea.

She's been back for I'd say its nearly three years now. She returned to Walford in 2001 to take over the Vic, remember she reappeared behind the bar and Peggy was stunned "Wotchu doin behind there? Get auuuut of it!" And Sharon had that smirk on her face "Well hello Peggy, bet you thought you'd never see me again" lol That was a good comeback, but she's been through hell since she came back. She reunited with Phil, but that went to hell after she found out Lisa was lying to everyone about Louise's paternity. At the same Phil wanted a baby with Sharon but Sharon knew she couldn't have kids, after she'd aborted Grant's baby years ago, she told him and all hell broke loose. Phil got banged up and poison peggy moved in and made her life hell. Xmas Eve 2001 Sharon revealed that Phil was Louise's father and then legged it from Walford as all hell broke loose on Xmas Day.

She then returned in early 2002 to bury her mother Angie. Peggy made her presence felt at this an all and warned her to stay away from Phil. Sharon sold the Vic and met up with Tom who was the love of her life. That is until Sadie Tom's psycho ex wife showed up in Walford and tried to kill Sharon in her flat, but when she failed, Sadie tried jumping from the window. They eventually got rid of her and everything was rosy. Yes? No! Tom found out he had a brain tumour and rather than put Sharon through the hell of watching him die, he forced her to break up with him, leaving her devestated. Eventually she found out why and she loved him so much they got back together, awww.

Sharon and Tom then launched Angie's Den, they tried getting on with their lives, not thinking about Tom's terminal illness. That is until Halloween 2002, Trevor had kidnapped Little Mo from her engagement do at Angie's Den and after terrorising her, she stood up to him finally, however he lit a match and the house went ablaze. The word soon reached Angie's Den that the Slaters house was in flames, meanwhile the rest of the Slaters Kat, Mo and Charlie had found Donna lying unconcious in her living room, baby Sean had been taken by Trevor and was now also in the raging inferno back in Walford! Tom raced into the Slaters and rescued Little Mo and Sean. As the residents of the Square watched on in terror, the flames lit a petrol can and a fireball ripped through the house, killing both Trevor and Tom, a hysterical Sharon screamed her lovers name as she watched the house explode.

Sharon buried Tom and resigned herself to wear black from that day on to the forseeable future. Vicky Fowler arrived in Walford from America and moved in with Sharon. Sharon ran Angie's Den single handedly, all the while grieving for Tom. The following year, Vicky and Sharon tracked down Dirty Den's son, Dennis Jnr, he was banged up for GBH but eventually joined his sisters in Walford upon his release. Sharon, Vicky and Dennis became a family, even if Sharon did have a problem with Dennis at first.

August/September 2003, Dennis tells Sharon that Den is still alive! Sharon won't believe it and tells Dennis "He was my Dad and I loved him!" but he's dead! gone! forever. Dennis reveals that he went to Spain to find Den but didn't see him. Vicky gets wind of this and goes off to Spain to find her father. A week later and the affair to be later known as Shannis begins in the flat, after a furious row with Pauline in the Vic, and feeling depressed over Tom, worried sick over a missing Vicki, a showdown in the flat with Dennis ends up with them both in bed together for the first time.

Later that night.....a phone call....its Vicki! She's in the club? Dennis and Sharon race to the club where Vicki is standing there. then a figure emerges from the darkness "Ello Princess" Dirty Den is back. After a week of nonsense of why didn't you call mes and I hate yous, Den competes the Watts family and by some hell of a miracle Sharon finally has a family. And not just any family either. A family manages to run the the mighty Phil Mitchell out of Walford and return his daughter to Loopy Lisa, who flees Walford forever.

Early 2004 and Sam Mitchell is furious now that she knows Den put Phil away. When Den tries to buy the Vic from her she is seething and vows to crush the competition. Sam gets Billy to burn down Angie's Den. The same night Andy Hunter is found on the doorstep of the Queen Vic covered in blood. Later on he and Sam become an item, an just before Den is to return, Sam and Andy almost get the Vic, until Den comes back with the money for reopening the club.

Easter 2004, Sharon and Dennis are an item. Vicki is disturbed and their affair is about hte blown apart. Den Watts returns to find clothes littering the hallway, he confronts both Sharon and Dennis, ordering them both to break up. Eventually he gets his way when Dennis goes beserk in the Vic and Den makes it look like he attacked Sharon on purpose. This leads us to the present day, where Chrissie has joined the Watts, Den is missing again and Shannis is about to kick off all over again!

Just a brief history of Sharon's return lol

Stalker Alert!! have you been checking her bins too!

See, with Sharon, it's all a bit of a blur. I remember all that, but instead of dates, I tend to remember her by haircuts: back in the day, bouffant. Then early 90s, the princess Di. Then since 2001: 'dead straight', 'flicked out', 'curled'. and more recently 'need to do your roots'.

Shaz in my opinion has been a good actress for a while, it a shame she hasnt took it to higher levels.

sharon is a dramatic character, her voice contributes to that, her voice is dramatic and is sharon.

Dramatic? Fake would be closer.. It's not a plausible character trait at all. Letitia is trying to make Sharon come across as emotional and strong-willed, but is failing miserably. She's completely over-acting in tense scenes.

Has anyone heard that ridiculous rumour that Den rapes Sharon
Polly_Perkins
20-09-2004
Was it really worth posting that rumor? Anyway I love the character of Sharon and I think Letitia does a wonderful job in the role, the problem is that she has not been given much to do. She is now a side character and Dennis has taken centre stage. I personally think its time they moved on from the Dennis Sharon thing and gave Sharon a new storyline, maybe something with Andy to fuel the Watts/Mitchell war. All her stories seem to involve men and I think she needs something else
Safra

Yea. Plus since Den came back i think she has really lost a lot of her character in that she doesn't seem as strong or independent as she was before his return.
Polly_Perkins

Yes Safra I totally agree, also it seems that Chrissie has become the character of Sharon prior to Den returning, strong and independent.

They really dont seem to know what to do with her now and Chrissie has become this mumsy figure which is strange since they have only known her a few months.

I preferred Sharon has the head of the Watts family rather than whinge bucket which she has become. She was great when she first came back and dug into Peggy. I hated it when Sharon didnt get the final word in to Peggy at the wedding, that would not of happened before.

I think Sharon should get totally fed up with the Watts dramas and branch out with someone else like become a business partner with Andy to annoy Den and Sam.
