New software is available at
http://beta.humaxonline.co.uk/freesat-hd
It not the beta software. Its the official release version.

Or you can wait for it to be transmitted over the air.
Looks like this will happen next week.

Thanks for fixing that, but what about:-
Subtitles enabled on live pause bug,
timeslip playback ending when the scheduled recording ends
and cannot record from the buffer to the start of the current programme?

Then the box will at least be able to do what sky+ can.

I'm new to posting.
I just copied the readme file for the update at the end of my post.
I'm nothing to do with Humax.
Sorry

I thought you had signed it off "Thanks Humax support".

I thought it was too much to hope that they would be posting here.

So the fix pauses the EPG download and restarts again once you have set the recording you want...
Then it still takes 45 - 60 seconds to populate, still seems a long time to just update the EPG..

still a pain, but at least its not 15/20mins as on the freeview 9150 that they make.

Bang goes remote access and Streaming using Raydons File and Media Server Bundle once this update goes live, and it wasn't that long since the updated File and Media Server Bundle was updated.

I have installed the 1.00.17 software.

The EPG is far less sluggish while “receiving data”.
I would even go as far to say it’s now usable to navigate while “receiving data”.

Really annoyed to find the subtitles fault still there.

It will be nice to just be able to press 'GUIDE' again and then select programmes to record without having to wait ages for the EPG to load.

The new software is now available to download manually through the Humax box.

Currently updating mine now.

I left mine on standby overnight and have for the last week or so, it still hasn't downloaded the new software during it's 3am scan for new channels and software. I guess I'll have to just manually do it when I get home tonight.

It only went on air from 10:00am today. It will autoupdate overnight tonight if your hdr is left on sby. It takes about 25 minutes to download.

P.S. Is this thread in the correct forum? Shouldn't it be in the Freesat recorders one?

Interesting that the EPG issue either annoyed people more, or was easier to fix, than the ones you mention.

I'm not excusing the lack of action on those three remaining biggies - just noting that, while some people felt that Schedule+Red was a perfectly reasonable alternative to Guide, Humax themselves didn't agree.

Cheers,
David.

Can't you "just" re-apply it?

I'm quite glad TBH - the channel editor messed a few things up on my box, and I was going to have to re-set the whole lot anyway. Humax will kindly do that automatically at 3am without me having to do a thing

Next time I install the hack, I'm not enabling the channel editor. If I can figure that part out - you get a lot of things there be default in the current hack!

Cheers,
David.

.17 automatically updated here.

One strange thing: On the network page, IIRC before, if the network connection wasn't present, it would show 0.0.0.0 as the IP address. I managed to pull the network cable out by accident last night, found there was no iPlayer this morning, checked the network page in set-up, saw the box had an IP address, and went looking for less obvious problems than a broken cable!

Unless this is some strange postg-update hic-up that won't repeat itself, it's worth noting. Checking the box had an IP address was one way (the way?) of checking it thought it was on your home network correctly. Not reliable now.

Cheers,
David.

The 1.00.17 update downloaded successfully OTA last night but the release notes from Humax say that the loader version should be U7.53 or U7.54. However my loader version is still U7.52. Does this matter and, if so, can I download the latest loader version OTA? Many thanks, GSD
