Cheers -- I'll give that a go if I get any more issues. That said, there does seem to be a growing list of people, me included, that seem to be having issues post the '17' update. Personally I think it's now too much of a coincidence.
Clem That takes some doing on a single configuration system. |

Well, I'm glad it's not just me then (not that I want anyone to have problems!).
Clem One of the "crashes" seemed to coincide with the conclusion of a scheduled recording. After the re-boot the recording was flagged as failed but was complete apart from some of the end credits. |

Same here - I now have .17 and I had at least one crash at the end of a recording while I was watching TV. It restarted itself without a further problem, so it may have happened after other recordings without me realising.

Of course people were getting the odd crash now and again before so it is hard to pin these new instances on the new firmware. I, for one, am not seeing any pattern forming from the various reports I have seen.

Something odd happened on a couple of my planned recordings. We all now that when the GMT/BST time change is due the scheduled programs list shows upcoming programs as 1 hour out for those that are planned after the switch until the switch happens then the schedule normally corrects itself.
What happened last night was my E4+1 recording of Misfits failed and checking the schedule it still had the +1 offset ffrom the time change i.e. E4+1 misfits should have been scheduled at 11:00 till 12:00 but it was infact scheduled at 00:00 till 01:00. Interestingly bringing up the EPG, the clock symbol was not on Misfits but was on The Inbetweeners (i.e. 00:00 till 01:00). Peforming a full EPG re-build (i.e. pressing Guide) did not rebuild the schedule correctly. To fix it I had to remove Misfits and re-set the series link. Interestingly the same was true for Monday nights Made In Chelsea. I think all the other series links are OK. Lets hope it was a one-off glitch and not a new bug they have introduced. |

i was FF a program and couldnt set a timer while doing it. Its incredibly clunky and the fix doesnt work in all scenarios.

I have had several freezes with this new firmware .
I bought the HDR shortly after it was launched. None of these problems occurred until this update , they are mostly when using the EPG. After the firmware update I reset the box as per usual.(using raydons firmware). I can't remember the sequence to these lockups as they have been days apart. Anyone else.

I have no absolute proof of this but the few issues I have had including the one since the new firmware was installed seem to be while in the EPG and one or more recordings are starting or finishing.
I tend to do my bi-weekly timer checking and setting at time when there are no active recordings so this may explain why I seem to have fewer problems than others? |

I had another problem with my box last night. Earlier in the evening the receiver had been making some recordings as normal and I wanted to watch one of them. I tried to wake the unit up via the remote -- the red light flashed on the handset -- but the receiver remained in standby. After trying again a couple of times I wondered if the batteries were on their way out, so I tried another (new) set in the remote -- same deal. Using the receiver's front panel controls I could however power the receiver up as normal though, so I decided to power cycle the box. Whilst it was re-booting I put the original set of batteries back in the remote, and, when the front panel was showing the clock I could wake the receiver up as normal via the handset and operate it as normal.
This is too much of a coincidence for me -- this is the second problem that I've had with my receiver since it got the '17' update. Before that, I hadn't needed to touch it, and EPG problem aside, the box had been 100% reliable, and certainly not needing the use of its power switch to reset it. Humax -- if you're reading this thread please take note and do something about it. The reliability of my box is starting to slide, and I'm not impressed! Clem |

From rarely having the EPG freeze in the past - it's now happened twice today following the addition of the new "5" channels.
Has this happened to anyone else? |

After a manual freesat scan yesterday I noted all scheduled recordings were gone from the list.
Was this always the case? Automan. |

Was this always the case? Automan. I think it has something to do with accidentally changing the postcode and it doesnt matter even if you then correct. If you get the warning, exit and try again. |

If you get a warning then it it will delete the list but you dont always get the warning and then the list will stay, very frustrating.

Just checked and I am in the same situation as GSD..
If NO problems,,just ignore.. what on earth did the two changes of loader achieve then? and would it affect the way Raydon's MOD behaves.? Stan |

Ive have 2 failed recordings in the last 24 hours, it was fine before the 5 update.
When I turned it on, it was out of standby but had the green screen that only a power cycle fixed. Very strange. |
