Are their any characters you particulaly want to see the back of in Corrie? If so, who and why?

I'd pick:

Tracy > she used to be bitchy and funny at the same time. Now she's just pure evil. Her treatment of Karen, Roy and Hayley has been APPALLING and I HATE the thought of her and Steve getting together after Karen leaves.

Claire > she is too dull. I can't believe she hasn't already been axed

I think I'd also like to see the back of Dev, Penny, Sonia (from Underworld) and Patrick (from Streetcars)

Please post all your opinions here. Ta.

Sarah Platt. The character needs a rest. Too much whinging, moaning, bawling. A right chip off the old block isn't she. Plus she gets right on my tits, miserable little cow.

Claire- totally agree, she is so dull!!!

Jason- again, dull!!!!

Sarah- she's been acting like even more of an immature spoilt little brat lately and has been annoying me more and more to the point where I can't stand to see the sight of her!

Jamie, Warren & Frankie Baldwin- I think Danny is the only new Baldwin I like, I just haven't taken to the other three at all. Which is a shame because Debra Stephenson is a great actress....to be fair though, there have been Frankie moments I have enjoyed, like I thought her impression of Karen ("I'm dead fit, me") was hilarious, so perhaps she does have potential......definitely axe Jamie and Warren though!!!!

Hmm... Quite a few to choose from here...

Definitely Dev and Sunita- they're just so bland and Dev has this very irritating way of speaking where he likes to stretch out the last word of every sentence. Urgh.

Tracey- Not because of the way she's treated the other characters but she's been so stretched out on the show- she's more like a pantomime character than a top brass bitch. Add in the fact that she has a mouth you'd like to shove letters through.

Ciaran- Keith Duffy might be what the producers consider to be eye candy but no. His acting skills (Which mainly consist of exaggerated eye movements) leave much to be desired.

Jason- Again. His acting skills leave much to the imagination. The rest of his on-screen family (Including Sean) act him off screen at every opportunity. I'm dreading the forthcoming episodes where him and Sarah sleep together. IMO, the less time he's on the screen trying to 'act', the better.

And definitely agreeing with Penny (Is there any reason for her to be in the show?!), and the Baldwin kids (They give us southeners a bad reputation!). Not completely sure on Sonia yet as with Kelly (She needs more screen time but I've got a bad feeling about her affair with Danny Baldwin- it's not going to be pretty).

O.k. Mini rant over!

Ken - very pointless waste of space. It seems nowadays he's just brought out for his once a month scene and put back in his oxygen chamber.
Todd - just cannot stand him, cannot wait to see the back of him and hopefully it will be for good.
Jason - very annoying, very useless character.
Dev - makes me cringe EVERY TIIIIIIIIIIIME he's on screen with the waaaay he SPEAKS.
Charlie - Shelley deserves someone who doesn't crack on to everything with a pulse.

LOL Exactly what I was going to say. Personally I don't rate Tina O'Brien anyway. I used to like her when she first came into Corrie but these days she comes across as being a bit too up her own arse when you see her giving interviews like she thinks she's bigger than the show or something. Plus I can't stand the way she emphasises the end of every sentence..... especially if the word ends in 'ing' LooKING, thinKING, sayING. Just my opinion

Sarah Platt - for a mother, she's an immature spoilt brat who has exhausted pretty much every dramatic storyline to cry in.

Cilla the poison dwarf - while it's good to have the mother from hell for a while, she's a baddy like Maya who only needs to be around for a short time.

Gail Platt - The second mother from hell, whose obsessiveness with her children and her desire to rule their lives causes me to want to strangle her.

Jason, Charlie, Dev (what is the attraction with them?!?!)

And Liz McDonald, who hopefully will be sent to Trinny & Susanna, and will be locked in that 360 degrees mirror, never to be released.

Les Battersby - nothing to do with the character, who I think has a lot of potential, but I think the actor is one of the worst I've ever seen (apart, obviously, from Spencer in EE )

The baldwin brothers to leave? No way, they are very easy on the eye even if they can't act for toffee.
I actually love the whole family bless them.

Can I just add Leanne to my list? I thought she was very fiesty when she returned but now the acts just wearing a little thin.

Sunita and Dev, especially Sunita. She gets on my nerves and coupled with Dev drives me mad. His voice is so annoying and he can't act for toffee. I like Maya though.

Sarah Platt. She always seems to have a cold or catarrh or something nasal anyway and I can't stand people sniffing and sounding blocked up all the time. She should stop acting until she gets her sinuses unblocked, then maybe come back and start over.

Claire is a pain in the butt, far too goody-goody and principled and downright dull. If they can't liven her up a bit she should go.

I'm not sure about Tracy. I can't stand her and want her to get her comeuppance but I'd like her to stay around so that we can watch her suffering (nice kind person, me). If she just disappeared I'd feel cheated. I'm assuming the producers won't be so mad as to let her end up with Steve and be seen as a winner. Or will they?

I'm sorry but I've always hated Emily - she was a bitch to Percy and is now a sanctimonious old cow to Norris too! It's about time she was killed off!

At first I thought I couldn't think of anyone to give the chop to but I thought some more and there is someone who I just can't see the point of being in any soap and that is Kirk.

What kind of person is that? I hope I never end up trapped in a room with someone like that. He is just crying out for sympathy every time he opens his poor twisted gullable mouth.

I just cannot relate to him at all, he is so pathetic. He is like a bedraggled and demoralised mongrel who has been run down and left to die in the street and needs to be put out of it's misery.

He never has anything to say and he is totally uncivilised even by the standards some of the other residents of the Street.

His face looks like it has been moulded from clay by monkeys.

He has legs that could be mistaken for 2 long pieces of thread hanging from the back of a shirt.

I would definitely like to see the back of him. I would like to see one of the cars in the garage roll over him or something, or he could get attacked and mawled by Chesney's Great Dane and have his legs gnawed off, or maybe he could be one of Maya's victims or something. Anything just get rid..
Auriol

oh no, not Kirk! I love him, no matter how pathetic he is. He's got a heart of gold, really. Just think how kind he is to Chesney, for starters. Most lad of that age wouldn't be bothered too much about their girlfriend's young brother. He's a star!

One thing I can't quite believe though is that he's Maria's brother. Chalk and cheese come to mind.

I used to like Emily but you're right - she's become too hard and unbending and downright unfriendly to Norris.Always being sarcastic and putting him down every time he opens his mouth. Not the best advertisement for Christianity IMO. And when he turned out to be right about Richard being a murderer I don't remember her eating humble pie for too long, even though she'd ridiculed Norris every time he'd voiced his suspicions.

Don't think I'd want her to go, though. Just to cut Norris a bit of slack.

I see where you are coming from. She is always the first to look down her crooked nose at people but never eats humble pie when she is wrong as Auriol says. And the way she comes across all 'I can do no wrong' she doesn't even pay her council tax for crying out load. Believe me there is a lot more to Emily than meets the eye. Don't be fooled for one minute by that bubble perm and those crooked bible clenching hands. More than a Vienese Finger has passed that womans lips I can tell you!

Get rid of Claire & Ashley, there are dull, dull, dull! The Hillman story brought Ashley to the front, but after that he has become even more boring than before, and that voice!

Claire is just too nice and has so many principles! get rid!

TYRONE: He hasn't had a storyline for years.
PATRICK: What is the point of him?
WARREN: Has he even been seen since he joined?
JASON: Acting is just awful.
LEANNE: Out of date - no point to her.
LIZ: As Leanne; dead wood.

01) Tracy Barlow - the whole point of a soap is that you feel something, whether it's love, hate, compassion etc for a character, but the total lack of acting skills displayed by Kate Ford means that I feel nothing but total boredom with Tracy. Time for another head change methinx - to someone that can actually act.

02) Sarah Louise Platt - I've never against the actress or even the character as such aside from the fact that she has been so over-used since Tina took the part over. The character is in danger of becoming a total caricature as no person of her age has been through even half the stuff that Sarah has. Send her off to Canada for a year to give the character a rest.

03) Jamie & Warren Baldwin - both pointless - get rid.

At all costs Corrie must keep:- Fred, Blanche, Norris, Reet, Cilla, Les, Eileen, Steve, Gail, David, Audrey, Roy and Hayley.
