It did make me giggle that the BBC expected me to provide "supporting evidence". Perhaps I should have sent them the iplayer links!

Disagree,..Anton should take up boozing as well.

AND when she has "danced" it has been dreadful which - in addition - MUST have been a blow to her confidence, along with Anton's naughty comments.
She doesn't seem to be enjoying the experience and it can't be nice being lamponed so much. Maby she can stand it indefinitely but I don't think I can.”

I believe that your first sentence says it all.

Whilst she obviously doesn't have wide appeal, I am very uncomfortable about this thread and am surprised that it has remained.

Y'know, I don't think drink had anything to do with how Nancy looked.

I think it was tranquillisers. I doubt she ever realised how terrified she'd be of dancing live.

Watch back her behaviour on the Tessanine as her turn drew near, and how her face fell when she realised they'd got through last Saturday.

I think she deserves your sympathy, not your scorn. Because she sure won't get any from that "Anton in a China Shop".

Some sort of medication is a possibility I guess. There is certainly something strange going on.

This hysterical speculation about Nancy is quite unfair.

Don't you mean the speculation about why she is hysterical?
But I take your point Terry. Perhaps you could send her something nice to cheer her up - a crate of wine perhaps?

The way she moves her jaw looks like dry mouth which is associated with some medications.
What name??

Do they get paid a flat rate up to the final and semi-finalists? If so I can see why some would not mind jogging off home early. It's not as if she has a career to promote so why hang around?

I know but I was assuming that Terry could not lavish afford to lavish that sort of attention on Nancy. I actually suspect left to him it would be a bottle of stout and some pork scratchings!

I don't know wether this question has been asked before - apologies if it has.
What exactly does Nancy do to fund the very expensive life style she has?
Money doesn't grow on trees. She must do something to enable her to dress the way she does, afford the hairdressers she uses, attend the functions, etc etc etc..................

We have no comment to make regarding the assertion that Nancy Dell'Olio was intoxicated because it's not a view we share and you have provided no supporting evidence of this.

Although in response to her performance, Bruno Tonioli remarked ‘Champagne, champagne, you looked like you had two gallons’, this was of course said in jest and was a comment about her dancing performance rather than a serious suggestion.

I wonder how long they spent trying to come up with that!”

If you believe Nancy was under the inlfuence, good on you for reporting it to the BBC.

And if Nancy was under the influence you seriously didn't expect the BBC to admit it to you surely? More fool you.

I didn't expect it for one second. But I was curious about how they would phrase their response! The BBC is so arrogant and unaccountable that it is a real pleasure to make them jump through hoops every now and then just to remind them that they are funded license fee payers.

LOL!

No, I think Nancy's definitely a champagne girl.

Terry's busy saving up for a bottle of stout, a packet of pork scratchings and deep-fried Mars Bar for when Lulu invites him to her dressing room. It may be some time. Poor love.

Recent tweet from Womans Own.

"Look who show biz editor Caroline bumped into in the BBC bar at Strictly......Nancy. We can confirm Nancy is totally fabulous and very funny too, and she was drinking champagne of course ! ".

It's also associated with nervousness... or sheer terror... though I doubt it is the latter.
