When does Boot Camp start?
Do we know when the auditions finished? It looks to me like they were filmed July/August, so what are they doing now?
We've seen 3 auditions shows so far, so we know how many more, or when and how many boot camp shows, and when is the final. So many questions, I'm sorry, but cant seem to find out anything on itv.com ark |

I'm just quoting from the ITV site:
"X-treme! This is no ordinary talent contest. It’s as much a battle of the judges as it is for the contestants. At Boot Camp it’s revealed, for the first time, which judge will mentor which category. Kept secret from each other, the judges assemble a team of ‘people’ to help them decide who’s got it and who doesn’t…until their Boot Camp group is whittled to just FIVE." http://www.xfactor.tv/page.asp?partid=3 But they dont give any idea of WHEN anything happens Maybe no-one knows? ark |

The finale show is right on Christmas. The first live show is around the 16th of October (possibly week after) so boot camp will be finished by then.

If the first live show is 16th Oct, then that means 11 weeks’ of shows until the Finale on Xmas week. I’m guessing this is what will happen:
Week 1 15 contestants (5 from each category) whittled down to 12 – lose lowest placed act from each category, then every three weeks one person from each category goes, as in Pop-Stars: The Rivals where they alternated weeks: Week 2 12 to 11 (Group) Week 3 11 to 10 (>25) Week 4 10 to 9 (<25) Week 5 9 to 8 (Group) Week 6 8 to 7 (>25) Week 7 7 to 6 (<25) Week 8 6 to 5 (Group) Week 9 5 to 4 (>25) Week 10 4 to 3 (<25) Week 11 Grand finale – top placed acts from each category (probably Xmas Eve or one of the Bank holidays, as I just can't see a live show being produced on Xmas Day) The only thing I’m not convinced about is that the first show will be a Eurovision-marathon length, where by act number 15, you can’t remember who went first. Unfortunately, if they do it this way, I don’t think the public will connect quite as much as when you see the same people every week. Does anyone else have any clue as to the format of the elimination shows? |

Yeah 5 acts each make it to the finals of boot camp, then 3 into the live shows. The final is around xmas (middle of it i think) more than actually on the xmas holidays.
