The phone will be my primary music player and I read the other day that some are disappointed about how low the volume is. I travel to work on the London Underground and while I don't necessarily want my eardrums blown out, is the volume level enough to generally drown out other ambient noise - in comjunction with isolating headphones?
I have a Samsung Wave currently, which has sufficient volume levels so hoping it will be as good as that. Thanks.”
I'm a bit of an audiophile, I listen to my phone for 8hrs per day at work and for me its a major let down, music is the most important thing in a phone for me and it doesn't cut the mustard. At full volume its about half the volume of an iPhone, I use an app called Volume+ it boost the volume to about 3/4 of an iPhone but up full it distorts, I can clearly hear ambient noise using Sennheiser CX300 in ear headphones. If you Google Low Volume SGS2 you will see plenty of people with the same problem, if music is your main use I would not recommend this phone and have been trying to sell mine since for this reason.
It also has an annoying habit in that if you loss signal the music stops for no apparent reason, doesn't matter if its the radio, MP3's or whatever you listening to if you loss cell signal it turns of, again Google this.
The thing people overlook on the SGS2 is it might have the best hardware but the software really does let this phone down, this is where iOS wins every time, Software.
