I'm trying to work out if there is a pattern and some professionals are worse than others for filling out the dance time with overt 'faffing'.

I guess Anton must be pretty high up as he has had some duffers in his time.

Faff rating....for last night's show

Vincent 8
Brendan 8
Anton 7
Kristina - a surprising 7 too.

Hmmm - the faffing drives me mad - I can usually see why they do it - but I'm usually shouting at the telly for them to get on with it

Kristina is a surprise.

Brendan must be fairly high up with that 'faffing mirror'

Hi everyone

I also dislike over faffing. I don't mind a bit of faffing if it fits in well.

You can't blame Anton for overly faffing - look at the partners he usually gets! I feel sorry for him. Anyone know why he always gets the duffers?

There should be a time limit - 10 seconds of faffing an absolute maximum and then the dance has to start.

I called the mirror an F word too, but not quite the same one.

It took 36 seconds for Jason & Kristina to get into hold. Plus they broke hold half way through the dance which is something Len usually goes mental over

Yep, the American influence is really showing isn't it?

Shame, as we're not an American audience. Someone should point that out to the BBC.

Didn't he mention lack of hold to one of the couples? Of course, consistency on comments has never been one of Len's strong points

I agree there has been far too much faffing and props. James was guilty of faffing as well, with that bit at the beginning when Alex was kissing Prescott and flirting with McFly *insert vomit smilie*

Because the other pros probably wouldn't put up with them? Anton has taken on this role with good humour, so the producers keep giving him the duffers.

I agree with this!

Any time a "prop" appears I groan. So far this series we've had:

Tables/chairs
Mirror
Seats
Chaise lounge.
Umberella
Cuddly toy

And we're only two episodes in.

Its incredibly irritating and looks tacky.

Quoted for truth.
There's far too much of this larking about going on. They should just get on with the blinkin' dance. This was most apparent with Edwina & Vincent's not-much-dance. What a waste of time and effort that was!

Kristina and Vincent were the worst offenders for me yesterday night. Vincent spent aaaaaaaaaaaaaaages at that table, and Kristina and Jason just did not do enough dancing for it to be a real dance.

I'd say 15 seconds and then a penalty of 1 point per extra 5 seconds of faffing.

I don't mind a bit of faff a bit of entertainment in a dance,

some time the dances get a bit samey and its such a long show that after seeing 6 identical foxtrots lots of people would switch off.

I thought the mirror was a nice touch

And some poor old prop maker had to make that Vicent's Pizzeria or whatever sign,

The judges would need minus paddles if they did that

Don't forget the fan sported by Miss Jones last night.

There is a long way to go - we still haven't a pair of glitter wellies (other than in rehearsals) and there hasn't even been a glimpse of a unicycle yet!

Disagre with the 7 rating for Kristina as those props were used well and were a frame for the dance routine, which was good, both in memory and when played back.

agree with your other 3 marks.

I've spotted another prop: Robbie's mullet.

I wondered if anybody on here was old enough to notice my Gen Game reference.
