Has Jason Been Cha-Cha-Cheating? - Exposed? - Unfair on the Other Dancers?

The Sunday People Today,

"Exposed: Jason started secret training sessions months before show started!"

"JASON Donovan risks being seen as a cha-cha-cheat by Strictly Come Dancing fans for having extra tuition in secret."

http://www.people.co.uk/celebs-tv/tv...2039-23476217/

If this is true could it spell the end of Jason's dream of taking the Strictly Come Dancing Crown?

Terry has used "Shock - Horror" in a thread title and I claim my £5 !

No different to Austin Healey. He even delayed a series so he could get more practice in before his series started.

Annoying but more commonplace that we realise I expect.

"Info obtained through Psychic Powers" reads a bit like "Made up at People Towers"

Still I loves me a good Ringa Bitch drama!

Is there a rule that you can't practise/take lessons/go on a diet/go to the gym/have a stage school background etc etc?

If not then it isn't cheating to have lessons.

In fact it's the intelligent thing to do I'd have thought.

Dr Hamela had them last year.

To me it is only cheating if they were specifically told it was against the rules to have lessons when they signed up. If they weren't then they were all at liberty to do it if they wanted to. I think it may backfire on them though, as the people the public most want to win are those that progress and have a journey through the series - I fear they are too polished at the start to be interesting. Sad, as I feel Kristina desperately wants to win.

Yawn  Same old same old. Anyone with half a brain would get some training in!

I don't care if he's been practising since he was a foetus.

I do care that he's apparently worked by remote control and has only three settings; dull, duller and scary showman,

Aww come on! previous contestants had had dance training at stage school and Kelly Brook even started her "career" as a "dancer". It's hardly cheating for someone to get some extra lessons in.

I shouldn't imagine that previous practice sessions will have any effect on Jasons eligibility to take part (or win) Strictly.

The Paper talk will go on. But I wouldn't take much notice of a Rag like The People as a serious source of anything other than Toilet Paper

Ain't that the truth!

Nah, don't care if any of them had lessons before. I only care when the mud sticks to just one particular celebrity, even when others are equally as culpable. Who's got it in for Jason (apart from most of us, that is...)?

This. If it's not against the rules, then why not practise first? I would!

All I can say is thank god because without him the standard of dancing (so far) would be pretty dire this year and some of them could train for 100 years and never be any better than they are now.....if you havent got it you havent got it.

I don't understand how this could possibly be seen as cheating.

1. It's not against the rules
2. Any contestant could have done it, as have several past contestants.
3. He didn't learn with Kristina

This is very true. It wouldn't surprise me if the story has been exaggerated though like Ricky Whittle's handful of Salsa lessons with Darren's brother.

I don't care if he's had lessons - that's up to him and good luck to him, I hope it helps him. I should think that if you want to do your best and hope to win, you would want to practice wouldn't you?

On the other hand, Harry had to start training later, as he had an "unfair advantage".

She didn't have lessons in preparation for the show though, she just enjoyed dancing as a hobby and took lots of different classes. It was years ago that she had lessons with Bruno and it is sheer co-incidence that he is now on the show.

Just saying.

Poor boy, all because he did Children In Need last year and danced with Ola. As if he would remember what he did last year this year!

I don't see how taking some lessons is cheating. I can't believe that more of them don't do it.
