I know it's October, so don't jump on me

I was wondering if anyone knew what was the best album for christmas music; I mean with all the more popular Xmas songs like Wizzards' "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday", Slade's Xmas song, Fairytale of New York, Mariah Carey's Xmas song, Boney M's Mary's Boy Child etc.

I noticed one called "Now That's What I Call Xmas", but I also heard they re-release that every year, does anyone know if they will this year?

We have had this for ages (an earlier copy) and find it the perfect seasonal musical accompaniment.

Michael Buble has an xmas album due out at the end of the month. There's gonna be a few classics and some originals

I think Susan Boyle's last album was an xmas one as well.

I have Now That's What I Call Xmas on cassette (I know, I was about 10 at the time ) but TBH I try to look for Christmas albums that don't have the popular songs on it One of my favourites is Boney M's Christmas Party and I have a French one I love and play every year. I also have some German ones.

To be honest its best to 'make your own'

all of the mainstream collections have either major songs missing, or even worse they have cover versions of songs they coulden't get the proper rights to.

so you end up with Ronan Keating doing Fairytale Of New York and other such monstrosities.

Can't go wrong with Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin when it comes to Christmas albums. I'm quite fond of "The Beach Boys Christmas Album" as well.

Just remembered that I think Celtic Woman have a Christmas album too. Their music is not normally what I listen to but they have lovely voices. I have two of their albums.

I love Destiny's Child's '8 Days Of Christmas'.

I listen to it every year without fail and always gets me in the christmas mood and reminds me of past Christmases .

You have to be careful with the compliations that have an excessively large number of tracks on there because, more often that not, the songs have been cut (missing verses and whatnot).
