I got some tickets to the o2 show on the 28th of this month and yes i should have watched some videos before but i didnt want to ruin it, but then after all the bad things i heard said about the show i decided to maybe watch a couple of clips, and have suddenly had a wakeup call, the videos are awful, just take a look at this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGjx-1T8x_w

What on earth happened to her? she actually cant be bothered, a lazy, robotic miming washed up performer? I know it sounds harsh but its 62 pounds a ticket for goodnessake, speechless really...

Sucks to be you!

But honestly, we all know Britney does this for the fans now. It's like going to a Cher concert at this stage.

She's singing live a lot more than The Circus, the dancing has improved and she's happier doing it now.

All "the bad things" you had heard should have convinced you to leave it - why did you buy tickets?

You would think some people would have a bit of sense, especially with the videos being posted from EVERY NIGHT.

I hope it teaches you a lesson, to be honest.

3/10 for a poorly disguised bashing thread.

Don't worry, her energy has improved dramatically since then.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRZg_z5PchM - Opening Number
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8zimX87vtU - Gimme More <3

I'm seeing her in Manchester, never seen her live before

EDIT She's not really singing though, she's gone back and re-recorded lots of "live" vocals to play on top of the studio vocals to make you think she's singing over the track. The only live bit is the occasional adlib. It's like the song "3", one of my favourites, it sounds off-key but the same every night.

You're a fan, but you don't know what she's been performing like for the past seven years?

OK, Honey.

Femme Fatale as an overall tour is cool (not great, but pretty good), but if you isolate Britney's performance during the show, that's mediocre at best. She still has loads of stage presence, but she's obviously not ready to pull of an 80-minute show. They just really overshadowed her with all the theatrics tbh.If you're not a big fan of her new music, then there's no point in going to the tour, anyway.

That said, Britney has improved a lot and even though she is still stiff and robotic, she has managed to give some attitude on stage.Compared to how embarassing 'Circus' was, I think the FF tour is an improvement, so this is why it got some attention

I don't think the video provided was that bad really. She looked like she was trying, so I wouldn't consider it lazy (Also, its the final song of a 22 song setlist, not lazy either).

Lifeless is another word I wouldn't use to describe it, she looks like shes having a bit of fun, her interactions with the dancers are good, and her dance moves are fairly precise and well executed.

"Robotic, miming, washed up performer"?? WHAT?
Everyone has known from day one that Britney mimed and put more energy into the spectacle of her shows. She has been quite honest in that respect, and also, so many singers have said how difficult it is to sing Britney songs live because theyre fast paced and demanding. "Washed up" is a ridiculous accusation in my opinion! Considering she is extremly popular and in-demand 13 years into her career is an achievement, and after the breakdown years she is back at a strong level.

Honestly, I agree with TheChicagoBaron that it seems like a poorly disguised Britney Bashing thread.

oh, i dont even see that point of making threads tbh when the responce i get is telling me i made a bashing thread, the lifeless thing was one of the comments under the video with like a hundred thumbs up thats the reason i included it, hence the question mark after it  why cant people take a post as it comes, why does there always have to be a diguised reason behind everything,...i cant...

It's a forum... opinions can be stated and discussed. This isn't Youtube where people can post unecessarily negative comments anonymously and have nobody call them up on it.
TheChicagoBaron and I disagree with your observations and find them to be so different to the video that you posted as an example that it seems like it was an excuse to bash Britney. Simples. Nobody here will, or should, deny you the opportunity to voice your opinion, just don't be surprised when people disagree with it.

She isn't the innocent carefree teenage Britney anymore. She has two young kids, no freedom in her life which is controlled by her Father, and has experienced people she trusted using her for their own gain. It is clear that she is tired of her life, but performing does bring out the best in her. I have seen so many flawless performances from Britney this tour, and I was/am a strong supporter of the Circus Tour performances! Her act is different now to "Britney"/"In the Zone" Britney, but so what? She's still one of the niggest names in music and an icon. She has excellent stage presence and creativity. She has the X Factor that makes some people want to watch her, and some not to watch her. It seems you're one of those who doesn't want to watch her... despite buying tickets. But hey! I don't know you, you must have had reason! I'm just seeing it at face value.

It has been clear since the conservatorship started that Britney is being used as a cash cow by her label, managers and now, her father seemingly! But the price? It's Britney Spears! She is a legend, an icon, and a mystery. I saw her Circus Tour in Dublin and everyone was like "Wow, that's BRITNEY SPEARS!" Just seeing her was a thrill. She sells out shows left right and centre so there is clear demand.

There doesn't have to be a disguised meaning, but the way you phrased it didn't exactly sound like something a fan would say. Miming, for example, has been discussed about regarding Britney since 1999, so calling her new tour out on that and calling yourself a fan isn't very convincing at a first look.

By the way, what does "I can't" mean? Just being a little picky and wondering why there are a lack of finished sentences when that is used.

I've seen a few performances that are definitely live, because of bum notes, change of words, shortness of breath, etc. and those things change video to video, so unless she's literally recorded a new pre-recorded vocal for every show for each song, fooling all the reviewers who praised her for singing the show at least partly live AND all the fans, and if you've been to Exhale you'll know that they are her biggest critics, I sincerely doubt it.

Oh. Sacrificing grammar and language for about seven letters. I see.

CHILL!A lot of people say "I can't", especially on Twitter. And there are more phrases to choose from, like "I can't with this mess" and "I can't with this b*tch".It's massively used, although I don't use it that much myself tbh

To be fair, I admire Britney enough for coming back into the spotlight after her meltdown and all the press ripping into her, although she probably knew things wouldn't be easy.

Yes, and I am oft critical of her - how legally she's still a child, her dress sense and her lack of effort. I never said she is perfect, but expressing shock that the OP who claims to be a Britney fan didn't know she was like this. Obviously, we've gotten past that now. Can we move past sly digs at the fanbase too? Thank you Honey.
