iPhone photos - please help

I have connected my iPhone to my laptop and I just want to copy the photos from my phone to My Pictures on my laptop. When I click on My Computer the iPhone is not showing up as a camera as I thought I would be able to copy them this way.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Open my computer and you should see a picture of a camera with (names)iPhone next to it.
Click on it and it will show all your photos then just drag and drop selected photos into folder.

Provided it still shows up in iTunes (proving that there's nothing wrong with the device) you're probably best off uninstalling it from Device Manger, then reconnecting it.

If you still have problems then another way of doing it is to email your photos from iPhone to your own email address then open email on laptop.

Is iTunes installed on the laptop? You will need it installed to install required drivers before windows detects it as an USB storage device

Plug in your iPhone and follow option 2 on this guide.

Ignore everything after step 5 and restart your PC HTH
