'Artists' releasing a new single every week
Deaf Leppard

Increasingly I'm noticing that 'stars' are releasing a song/video literally days after releasing the previous one. This weeks examples are Beyonce and Rihanna. Rihannas new single was Cheers, then last night my missus asked me 'have you heard rihannas new song' but it was a bloody different one which has charted at number 1 today. Beyonce had the countdown video launch midweek and today 'teases' for yet another one... It's not long since 'best thing I never had'

gaga is bad for it too.

Rhianna is worse for it but its the team behind her wanting her to push out album after album after album ..now the rest of them will follow ..so we will get a new rhianna album after this new upcoming one at the end of next year followed by a new album from lady gaga in spring summer nexk year but beyonce ...she does take a break and will have to as she is having a baby ...gaga and rhianna are the worst for this in my opinion

The only time Rihanna has ever had a break in her career was for most of 2009 where she didn't really do anything, except sing the chorus to Run This Town (and get beaten up).

Rihanna is in a difficult situation though. They were going to wait another month or more to release this single, but they had to bring forward the release date due to high demand (fake versions of the song started charting). So it's more the public's fault really.

But I agree, Rihanna should've waited longer before even putting this song on the Internet and radio. Her single before that was pretty darn awesome imo (better than We Found Love), and it's now gotten completely overshadowed by this new song, which is a shame.

Lady Gaga isn't as bad as it seems either. I really don't like her, but there was that time where she was releasing a single every week. A LOT of artists have been doing that for years and years, before anybody even knew of Lady Gaga, it's just that Lady Gaga is the biggest pop star on the planet, so all her promo singles shot straight into the top 10.

Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, David Guetta, Drake, Beyonce, Taylor Swift and many others have done the same, but they're not as popular as Lady Gaga. Their promo singles all did badly in the chart and went unnoticed.

I think it all comes down to one thing

MONEY

gaga claims she isnt interested in money yet she does a lot of promo to make it

I just think the music industry now is just rubbish ...bring back the 80s

Beyonce has only released TWO singles from her new album, Run The World and Best Thing I Never Had. Countdown is her new song and it's about time, Best Thing I Never Had came out in July. Love On Top is just a promo single, same as 1+1.

was that really necessary? we all know what happened and why she needed a break. that just makes it sound like a career highlight for her in 2009.

I thought Rihanna had a break from A girl like me to Good Girl Gone Bad (which paid off)
unless it's the same break I don't know?
But in all honesty Rihanna is the worst for this, as much as I like her music..
