I think a contestant is only "robbed" if they are good and if they leave well before they should. Edwina was crap, so no great loss.

Yep!

It's not the first time she's departed from somewhere "with egg on her face."

I agree. They really both did come across as horribly arrogant.

Unlike AW last year, I have never really disliked Edwina. But it's hardly a major injustice (ooh there could be joke in there somewhere)..she was among the worst, perhaps a little unlucky to go before Nancy.

This pretty much! Ann Widdicombe, no matter what you think of her politics, has a much better "personality" than Edwina Currie.

I think the problem was that Edwina openly admitted that she didnt like the foxtrot. Quite a few VT's showed her going on about it, saying that it didn't suit her personality.

I think the public saw this and thought- why should we vote for you to stay in. There was clearly not enough dancing in the routine anyway.
So lack of interest and lack of dancing = Bye bye Currie

Edwina will be missed. She was an opportunity to go and make a cup of tea.

Summed up perfectly!

I am seriously bemused by the support for her on here. She is ghastly. No coincidence they dressed her up as a witch.

Audley is a lovely man, can't believe he was in the bottom two - especially with Nancy Dell'Olio still in

I thought I saw a programme where Russel was interviewed and he said he was moving to L.A? What happened as he is now on Strictly?. He appears to be a REALLY nice man, I thought it was lovely the way he mentioned how happy he was for Robbie to have received better marks from this judges this week. If he wants to be the entertainment feature this year OK by me. I loved Widdy and Anton! Hilarious. Edwina had no personality, just overbearing and ghastly, quite honestly. She is the sort of woman I run a mile away from!! Poor Vincent. He had nothing to work with and Edwina's ridiculous behaviour did not help.

Having said that, even if she had been capable of dancing it, she would still need about 7 or 8 more points from the judges to be higher on the leaderboard than Lulu ( who was overmarked in my opinion). That was never going to happen after she and Lulu both got the same score for their dances the previous week.

In the unlikely event that she had been higher than Lulu on the leaderboard, I still don't think she would have been safe.”

Vincent admitted as much on BBC this morning. He also said he had had a sleepless night wondering whether he had done the wrong thing. He seemed quite upset.

Edwina is no great loss, she was never going to get very far anyway, but I shall miss cute little Vincent.

And yet they were both better than Edwina - I don't mind her personally (and I am a left winger) but she was a terrible dancer and she probably wasn't going get any better. Audley seemed like a lovely fun guy to me although he's never going to be Mark Ramprakash I can see potential for improvement. I think only Nancy going would have been a fairer result although I think Nancy has got a decent ballroom in her if she can ditch the props, the heels and the ego.

A decent ballroom? Perhaps, given full sun and a favourable wind, but never a decent Latin unless she also ditches Anton.
