Busted are just taking the piss out of British music.

As much as I don't see the point of "X factor", i think busted are just taking the piss. What the hell is Charlie 'my eyebrow can swallow my face' Simpson on about anyway? Basically, he is trying to say that the only people who should be allowed to sing are acne ridden teenybopper 13 yrs old right?

A manufactured group taking the piss out of a show that makes manufactured groups

Will the madness ever end?

I totally agree Cjw. I would take the comments far more seriously if they werent from a manufactured band to begin with. Are Busted worried about the competition? They already have their own spin-off group in McFly.

LOL And just where will they be in 6-7 years time?

I think my advice to them would be "shut up" until you have grown up.

Must be scared of the competition, I guess.....I'd love to see a bunch of 60/70 year olds give 'em a run for their money. They could call themselves 'Young At Heart' for example.

Their mock punk/rock has me in stitches; they’ve tried to incorporate punk/rock platitude with boy band lyrics & niceties – it’s car crash entertainment IMO!

Busted's constant whine of 'we're not a boy band... we're not manufactured, ... we play our own intsrument s', is a comedy routine in itself. The harsh reality is - they are a boy band - they are manufactured and they are disposable just like the rest.

The other two were already part of another boyband before Charlie joined and they were formed by their record company. I wish they would just shut up. They are never going to be a Beatles or a Rolling Stones however hard they try.

I don't think Busted understand that X Factor are looking for TALENT. Someone who can sing. Some of Busted's songs are OK, but they're not good singers.

And since when did Busted have enough credibility to start slating people who have been in the music industry longer than they've probably been able to talk, let alone sing?! .....I REALLY, really do not like Busted one little bit, and I certainly don't think they're in a position to say things like that about Simon Cowell...or anyone else for that matter...Isn't it ironic how Busted of all people accused someone else of taking the p*ss out of British music?

There seems to be a lot of this lately. James Constable (?) from defunct band 911 said almost the same the week after Busted's tirade. A touch of jealousy probably.

And what do they mean "We've had two Pop Idols that no-one likes any more"? I hope they mean the programmes and not the winners.

i don't think they're saying that at all.

they're saying the whole *pop idol* thing is getting pretty tired - would many really disagree with that?

and how are they any more manufactured than, say, the beatles? why don't they have a point when they play instruments / write their own stuff? what would they have to do to not be manufactured?
