It'll be interesting where they find her....But I'm guessing, she doesn't want to be found.

Do you know something we don't?

Anyone else notice the look that passed between Sofia and the guy who tracks her (Daryl) right at the beginning as they are preparing to set off..it's only a couple of seconds as he rides past her on a motorbike but it's there..hmmmm.

I enjoyed most of it but started to get bored at the end where they were having heart to hearts with a statue.

The problem is the producers of the show completely screwed up on accuracy. No Southern Baptist church would have a "crucifix" in it -- that is, a representation of a dead Christ on a cross. Roman Catholic churches have that, and for all I know maybe some other Christian churches do, but NOT Baptist churches. Baptists believe crosses should always be shown without Christ, to signify that He is not dead, but resurrected. But of course the inaccuracy served the producers' plan, because they obviously wanted a scene showing Rick talking to a representation of Christ. Rick talking to a bare cross would not have worked on a dramatic level, and the chances of finding a Roman Catholic church in rural Georgia are slim.

I have some questions and it might be me being very blonde or not remembering season 1 very well.

How come there were dead bodies in the cars?
Why weren't they zombies?
Were they immune - if they were how did the virus kill them or was it a car accident?
If people don't turn until they are dead then was it a virus that killed loads of people at once?

I'm way too confused.

Episode 1 is on anytime, and it's repeated tonight and tomorrow night at 10.pm on FX .

Personally I loved it! Thank Heavens for a half decent show at last. Now I can finally remove Terra Nova/Falling Skies from the planner and forget all that Spielberg schmaltzy cobblers and actually find some empathy for the characters in a show.

I liked the episode on a whole, but wasn't a fan of the ending. As soon as he entered the church it was pretty obvious something was going to happen to his kid IMO. Although I was expecting a zombie to jump out and bite him. It just felt too artificial, something engineered by the writers to try and shock people.

Derren is repeated Sunday night, you could shunt him to then that's what I'm doing.

Anyway I enjoyed the first episode a lot, and the shock ending left me

I really liked the exchange between the blonde woman and the old guy (still don't know their names ) about how she wanted a clean death and resented him for forcing her hand.

I loved the show and like the fact adverts were kept at a bare minimum. Yes the church scenes were cobblers but I won't let that detract that this is the best fantasy drama on right now bar none (though I love True Blood too).

Only Game of Thrones is better than this and its only by a whisker.

I thought a scene in the camper was grainy; the noise looked like it had been shot with insufficient light, and the gain in the camera had been turned up.

For me the episode was somewhat spoiled by their stupidity. Especially the blond woman, who chose the worst possible moment to disassemble her gun, and then the worse possible moment to try to reassemble it. I was also annoyed that when they cut the walker open, neither of them was keeping watch to see if there were any other walkers. And that the guy said he had no choice but to abandon the girl, when he could have kept her with him and maybe even used her as bait/distraction for the walkers. Generally the adults treat the children as if they were babies. She's 12. She should be pulling her weight. (The boy seemed one of the smartest there, so of course he gets shot.) I also didn't like the old guy taking blondy's gun away. He had no right.

The grain was pretty bad but worse was the MPEG style blocking, looked like a bad youtube video in places, guess it was a bitrate issue as the version on anytime was a lot better at least no blocking.

This is a mistake Spielberg's Taken should be on from 9pm for 1hour and 50 mins. The EPG is being amended now.

It looks like they just died in their cars, without coming into contact with the Walkers directly (ie Bitten), or no open wounds, that sort of thing, I think anyway

It is (presumably) months after the outbreak - so why are they hardly decomposed ???

I suppose if a body is inside an airless car they dry out rather than rot, the guy in the van where Carl took the weapons looked a little 'dry'

Whats the point of putting it up on a tuesday, to then take it off, but not allow series link to change....

Bloody rubbish EPG...... (and removed for a repeat from 2002 too)

Seems I cant watch it now...unless FX do a catch up repeat.

Supposedly if a person dies of natural causes as such, They come back from the dead anyways. At least that's always been the presumition.

IE the comics
Spoiler

So basically i don't know why the dead bodies in the cars had not came back from the dead. Its a strange one.
