Talent is one thing - what you do with it is another.

Sure, she can hold a tune whilst shaking her stuff. But do I find her music amazing and inspiring? No.

If yappy is getting upset because some of us here on GD don't much care for Bouncy and her music, he or she will be crying all night at some of the responses if this gets shifted to music.

Adele is a fine example of how shows like the X factor have reduced music to the equivalent of a sporting event - if someone's making a lot of noise, and sticking in a load of extra notes, then they must be 'good'. Personally, I think its making something that ought to be sublime rather mundane.

So it's OK for you to criticise someone else's music, but you get upset if someone criticises your beloved Beyonce?. Maybe that poster feels the same way about Adele as you do about Beyonce, and finds your criticism shocking too.

Most X factor contestants say stuff like 'music is means everything to me'.....really? why havent you learned how to play an instrument then?Or read music? or even learn the words to the song your effin singing?
Another classic is 'Ive been singing since I was 8'.....Ive been singing since I was 3, yeah I started with nursery rhymes then moved onto hymns in asembly then onto more complicated stuff like slipknot

I wouldn't consider Beyoncé's music powerful to me. To others it might be, but to me it's just music. I actually like some of Beyoncé's music, "Halo" being an easy favourite, but she doesn't exactly inspire me.

Adele, Beyonce....inspiring, thought provoking...hahahahahahahahahaha noooooooo.

Sorry to offend anyone but the only people those songs are "powerful and inspiring" to are dimwits. Who wants to live forever, The Fly, With Or Without you, Sweet Child of Mine, Bridge Over troubled Water, Sign on the Window, Bohemian Rhapsody, Open your eyes, Candle in the Wind. THOSE are just some "powerful" pieces of music. And in terms of classical music Mozart's Lacrimosa and Faure's Requiem have actually reduced me, a grown man to tears.
