Well james on the x factor was a talented guitarist but his boring song let him down. anyways why do you have to play an instrument to be a good singer?? clearly playing an instrument and being a talented singer are 2 separate departments in the music industry. singers dont wana be playing the keyboard in the background they wana show off their voices

Sorry to offend anyone but the only people those songs are "powerful and inspiring" to are dimwits. Who wants to live forever, The Fly, With Or Without you, Sweet Child of Mine, Bridge Over troubled Water, Sign on the Window, Bohemian Rhapsody, Open your eyes, Candle in the Wind. THOSE are just some "powerful" pieces of music. And in terms of classical music Mozart's Lacrimosa and Faure's Requiem have actually reduced me, a grown man to tears.”

Lets just get one thing straight, beyonce is way more inpsiring than adele will ever be.

Links please

Wat the.. how can a bunch of violins reduce someone to tears

Links?? FFS we live in the age of Youtube. BTW its obvious you will never understand how "a bunch of violins" can reduce someoen to tears. Maybe you didnt get this through your pretty little head but up until 100 years ago people all around the world laughed and cried to the only music around...INSTRUMENTAL! You know? Like "bunches of violins".

Because pop is far from being the pinnacle of musical creativity.

You're like someone who only knows nursery rhymes asking how can the words of Shakespeare move anyone.

Don't expect other people to do it for you if you are just too idle to do it yourself.

Apparently it does. There's also a limit to "infinity".

Beyoncé's one of the best mainstream singers out right now!

Sorry Beyonce is just another dime a dozen generic pop singer, for the teen generation. She can sing but has no real virtuoso talent and is about as inspirational as a chocolate biscuit.

Erm no she's very inspiration. She worked hard since she was a kid to get where she is and achieve what she has. A lot of up coming singers site her as their favourites/people they admire. Even Lady GaGa said that she her singing survivor when she was younger made her want to sing.

She isn't a dime a dozen either. What singer out there right now performs like her on stage? No one. She's very respected in the insiders and many legends have praised her. She's versatile too and has a brilliant voice and never mimes. She has achieved a lot and will be one of the few singers remembered from this generation.

WOW!This thread is so powerful!I am so inspired by all those comments I didn't even need to leave a comment yet Beyonce has been dragged all over this thread POWER!

Kidding aside, it's all about "each to their own" in this case.Beyonce's music can be considered poweful, even though I think 90% of her material is cheesy and pointless. However, I can see why you think her music is so poweful and her visuals definetely help her get that "power" that maybe the songs themselves don't have in their own right. She's very talented, but she definetely cannot entertain me more than this thread did

People in here clearly don't know how good Beyoncé is. Oh well, their loss!

The only "inspirational" song from Beyoncé's catalogue is Listen, to be honest. She tries too hard with all this faux-feminism.

One surprising thing about this thread for me though is how Ash's Man has been dethroned as DS' biggest Beyoncé fan.

They must have meant the torch James Brown lit, that MJ carried for three albums in the 1980s (with Prince) and has since been snuffed out? Those children just sound confused.
