Where on DS do they keep the ESC thread, please? I'm beggared if I can find it. Apparently there are some on it getting their knickers in a twist over the thought John and Edward may be performing in 2012.

It's here, hidden away in tv shows. http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showt...544483&page=41 They don't like J&E fans talking about J&E in there. We were told to come back here last time. The mods eventually made a whole forum and we got our own thread in there.

they actually don't seem that upset about the idea, I'm surprised

hopefully they've cpme to realise that J&E are really good for the competition. They generated more publicity than any other act last time and their song outsold every other entry.

Searches of DS are always a fail for me, somehow!

Cheers for the link. Yes I remeber in the ESC forum they marginalised us, which was ridiculous and petty.

no bother. Yes, it wasn't very nice to be told to go away but *fingers crossed* it will be better next time.

I'm still waiting for RTE to officially say they've done this internally and Jedward are definitely the act representing Ireland this year.

no they were a tuneless, talentless, novelty act that would forever tarnish the reputation of the hallowed Eurovision
song contest, so we ended up in our own little ghetto thread.

Until RTÉ say something official, I am assuming Edward is working his magic, say it often enough until everyone else is convinced it's true et voila it is true!

And then, if they do confirm it...they have to get through the semis....more nailbiting!!

That stuff really upsets me too

I used to be extremely cautious of who I followed on twitter in case they were one of those people but gave up because I couldn't tell in a lot of cases

I'm going through all the tweets of @planetjedward via TwitIQ (because I'm sooo Jedicated, obviously...) and I found this:

Anyway, there's loads of pearls of wisdom in there...oh my...

No they weren't. Are you so stupid not to have realised sending Jedward this year was even more ridiculous than sending a turkey puppet in a previous? Are you even out of nappies yet? You're either mentally deficient or some tweeny who hasn't the first idea of just how bloody serious Eueovision is and how hugely important it is Ireland sends a dirge of a ballad by a real singer? And blah, freaking, blaady blaady boo ya sucks lemons, you're so divest of any genuine opinion etc., etc., blaah — OMG you don't have the first clue as to anything about the Eurovision Song Contest/Greatest Show on Earth!!!

So that told YOU several times, didn't it! Prepare thyself for more of the same when the Eurovision forum re-opens and any of us go there to discuss serious act Jedward. They're gonna chuck brickbats again, despite having been proved so wrong this year in that Jedward took every note and every step dead serious and worked their heinies off harder than anyone could imagine possible to represent their own country with enourmous pride and total professionalism.

Excuse me for ranting. You can see I've been mulling over the injustice of the Eurovision Forum this year, can't you? I'm off to get a nice frothy coffee and think about our glitter bunnies and how Jepic they're going to be this year. That's the right track to follow!

It's still a bit early for an announcement : I don't think RTE revealed the Eurosong format until November last year.

Everything points to it being Jedward though....it seems both sides are very keen.

Oh my goodness..its a music contest, meant to be fun and entertaining...not the flipping general election...I take it they have forgotton about Lordi and Buck fizz, both winners, who make the boys sound like Pavarotti

Ryan Tubridy would probably weep buckets if his favourite boys weren't Ireland's representatives next year.

oh I forgot the never ending fanboi and fangirl accusations and were we allowed to stay up late, didn't we have home work to finish and we'd eventually grow out of our little hormonal obsession! two turkeys instead of one etc etc....

Although some did say they were quite impressed with our justified faith in the twins by the end which was nice of them

I get what you mean Floh, seems that whatever they prove, they're still the joke tuneless act.

I've read a few reactions in the spanish ESC forum and surprisingly people like the idea of having them in Baku. There're some haters, of course, but the reactions are more positive than I had expected. Anyway I get the feeling that people aren't against them, but against the idea of not having an Eurosong though.

I just can't deal with the hate, seriously they're nice people, hard workers, enthusiastic, harmless (as Paddy said, they don't have a bad bone in their bodies) they just don't deserve it.

Well done. You have taken the attack upon your personage and come back fighting, oh fragrant herb — girding your loins for the fray which will befall any of us out there in the world of the Eurovision Forum. #beafraid
