Hi guys - I didn't say I wouldn't be posting again, just that I need to spend a little less time on DS to make my RL a bit more normalised. I will be doing that mainly by staying off the MF. I am not despondent about Matt - I think the album is going to be a success and I have felt for quite a few weeks that RFYL was more likely to be a top 10 rather than certain #1. It hasn't been helped by Rihanna dropping a single out of the blue mid-week, and also is being scuppered by the XF effect on Jar Of Hearts and Moves Like Jagger. TBF similar would have happened to Joe last year, when Matt did JTWYA and resent Bruno Mars back to #1 when Ambitions was released.

As I have said many times, his pathway is similar to that of James Morrison, Will Young and Snow Patrol. And I bet there aren't many Oasis fans concerned that Noel G's first single off his album only made #17. If that's the direction Matt is heading then I am more than happy - because those artists are far more likely to be here in 10 years time than the here today gone in 2 years lifespan of many singles sellers. And what have all of those artists got in common - they write their own music, which cannot be said of many of the other XF acts.

I know!! At this exact time last week Matt was just about to come on He was certainly a lot more relaxed at Koko than he was last night on X Factor but thats to be expected as there was a lot of pressure on Matt with all those millions of people watching him. I can't wait to see Matt perform again as those 50 odd minutes last week went by so quickly and left me wanting more

I think Matt could do a Will Young with the single and album... Jealousy got top 5 but most people waited for Echoes like I did. I'm not a singles buyer myself so only bought RFYL cos it's Matt and I love him and for the bonus tracks I remember Jealousy had around 800k at the beginning of September, and Matt is heading for 750k soon. I also noticed RFYL has almost the same amount of likes and comments as Will's video, which is over a million views.
