Slowly is my favourite at the mo

I watched it all (for the first time ever) and Matt was not on although on my Sky information bar for the programme he was scheduled to be. If he was sick, the presenters would have said so.

I hope he's on DayBreak at a reasonable time tomorrow. I know I'll miss him because I leave for work at 7am but I hope he appears before the majority of people go to work.

I was talking to my sister and she mentioned how good Matt had been on X Factor and how she remembered how much she liked him. She didn't notice anything wrong in his performance and thought he sang the single brilliantly. I asked if she was going to buy the single and she laughed and said she hadn't bought a single in years and wouldn't even buy a download. However she then said she would definately buy his album when it came out (along with Noel Gallaghers).

I honestly believe that many people will buy his album who are just not singles buyers. I never buy singles either, which is a good thing as Amazon look set never to deliver my RFYL

Therefore I think Matt did very well to get his single into the top five and I believe his album will do very well.

I think your right there people are more interested in albums and his album is getting plenty of pre-orders; however I think h is single has done well too so concidering the people he is up against.

How do you look at all that stuff?

OMG...in my defence.. I have been off work for 10 weeks and have 1 arm semi out of action so there's not much else for me to do at the mo...ooh the hardship!!

The only people I personally know who buy singles are my young nieces and nephews. With the exception of the X Factor winner's singles I haven't bought singles since I was a teenager.

Cher and 1D appeal to the younger generation (and I mean really young, my niece is just 11) so are more likely to get number 1 singles. Their albums may do well pre Christmas because many parents will be buying them for presents.

However, that does not explain how Olly Murs has achieved 2 number 1 singles as I would have thought he would have an older, non single buying fan base. Perhaps his songs are just that bit more catchy and appealing (though not to my taste).

I will really start to worry if Matt's album does not sell well but the signs are that he should do well.

The tattoos are fake, but he says he likes them and may get a real one! They look awful. I don't mind subtle tattoos and the 2 Matt currently have are relatively tasteful - but those sleeves - yuck!

I'm gonna sound very thick here, but is it normal to release a single only a week before the album? If there was more time in-between, surely more people would buy the single? Most people can hang on for a week can't they? *Looks around the room* Present company excepted, of course.

Sorry to say but I adore the sleeves!! I love tatts (have 9 myself). Plus if he got them its more for me to lick!! (Blimey, thats going back a while, I've not mentioned licking his tatts in months!!)

The tattoos are utterly vile, but that second photo with the short sleeved t shirt (ignoring the arms) really does it for me.
