I hope someone can update us on the R1 show - couldn't listen on the way to work as phone wouldn't co-operate
On the bright side my signed and deluxe copies of Letters are on their way from Play.com and another deluxe copy from HMV too. Still awaiting notification from Amazon for the one with other bonus tracks!!

Ha ha, totally loved Matt giving a bit of Shania on Radio 1 this morning. He can sing anything and make it sound good.

Scott Mills has just gone up slightly in my estimation..still had Radio 1 playing on sky and I'm sure I heard him say Matt has the voice of an angel!...was I hearing things????

I think you could be right
Thought Matt was fabulous this morning. He was funny and warm and the singing was brilliant. There are very few people who could guest on that show and be able to do an off-the-cuff version of a song to that standard. What an absolutely amazing voice he has - in the top drawer of male vocalists.
So glad someone asked about his skating - Scott Mills was so surprised that he skated at all - obviously does very little homework on his guests. Says it all about R1 presenters really. That said, a billion times better than the Moyles interview.
Just wish he could have been able to promote the album a bit more.

Hi Rosie, best thing to do is ignore them, we find. We're definitely pro Matt here.
I had sound problems too, ended up putting it on the tv and missing half of it while trying to sort it out.
All in all not bad and yes Cardoodle, he did say Matt had the voice of an angel and that he was a really really nice guy. The skating question was ok whether Mills knew about it or not, but I'm not sure Ali thought out his 'truth' in the truth or dare game - that story might have sounded funny between friends, but really wasn't in Matt's best interests re public image. It's going to put some unfortunate images in the minds of a lot of listeners

Matt on Radio 1 was fab this morning; I had fingers triple crossed when he opted to do the Shania song, thinking PLEASE be good....though if he didn't feel confident that he could knock it out, he'd have probably opted for the "truth". I thought he came over really well; I love his little laugh Agree with Spiral - Ali's comment was a bit 
(some of his twitter stuff has been a little ill thought out too)
Hahahaha - the MF: they really need to get out more. We should take comfort in the old adage: there's only one thing in the world worse than being talked about and that is not being talked about

Oh I think Ali could have told a lot worse!
Heard Matt on R1 and it was a really good interview. Glad he opted to sing too as his voice was brilliant especially as it was so early in the morning. 
I wish he'd get on to Dermot's R2 show on Saturday. He would suit that show so much and he could do some of his own tracks from the album. It's interesting that both Sparks and All for Nothing are getting a much better response than the actual single. Maybe that was the plan. Matt said it was a crossover song from XF to what he really does. As for the MF, they're an interesting bunch. I've not read so much vicious bile for quite some time. Someone over there has just said because he's the XF winner then it is seen as a failure if he isn't No. 1 but anyone else, it wouldn't be the case. So maybe some people need to move on from XF now and let him be a normal recording artist instead.
