Managing O2 account online
Inkblot
10-10-2011
I have O2 home phone and broadband, and O2 Simplicity. If I sign into my O2 account online, I can see my phone and broadband bill but not my mobile bill.

I seem to remember that when I moved on to the Simplicity tariff the O2 rep told me I couldn't use my existing login (for the broadband bills) to access my mobile bills, but that I could link the two accounts.

I took this to mean that if I linked the accounts I could sign in to the broadband account and see both broadband and mobile bills. But this clearly doesn't work.

How do I get it to work? Or does O2's system simply not allow you to see all your bills with the same login?

O2's systems are confusing.

My Broadband and Lindline are on one account.
My emails are on another account
My pay as you go phone is on another acct.
The acct which links all the above together is on another acct name!

9/10 when trying to log in I am told my Usernames are invalid when they are not. (Copy and paste from an email they once sent me with them all on)

Its got to the stage I dont even check my online bills due to the confussion! I just receive a text advising the ammount if its over a certain ammount I will call them. Some of the staff are baffled as to why I have 4 acct names!

Update: in the end I use the O2 online chat facility and it turns out that if you link the accounts you can switch between them using the "MyO2" drop-down menu. The reason I hadn't done this is because the "MyO2" drop-down menu is almost impossible to spot unless you know where to look.

So now I know how to manage my mobile, home phone and broadband accounts online. Top marks to O2's support staff for explaining how to do it; nul points to O2's web designer for making it such a laborious process.
