Yeah hopefully it won't delay it coming out though, wonder when they will now announce it.

I agree, it was a nice gesture by google/samsung.

It would have been understandable if they didnt delay the launch considering the apple/samsung court procedings.

despite being a Samsung fan, I do question the altruistic nature of the delay.

More likely they want to ensure that the tech blogs have stopped their "1001 ways Steve Jobs saved your child's life" articles and can give them their full attention.

I have a feeling that google has more to do with this than Samsung. Eric Schmidt was on the Apple board and knew Jobs personally and were good friends. Hes currently executive chairman of google.

They needed time to rethink the iPhone-killer tag in the circs.

This is exactly it.

It shows great respect not burying the iPhone at the same time as Jobs. Better to wait until the 27th.

I wonder if that is why Apple have targeted Android partners rather than the owner?

Any official specs yet for this? I've seen a couple of spec leaks, and they're different...

The 1280x780 720p HD screen is all but confirmed. It's been the one constant in all the leaked specs...

The processor is sketchy but the clock speed is definitely in between 1.2 - 1.5GHz...Camera is more likely to be 8mp rear facing, 2mp front facing, but of course nothing is confirmed at this point...

The 4.65 inch screen is basically confirmed along with the resolution if this video is to be believed...

People come up with impressive fakes all the time but it's very hard not to believe that video - I think we may genuinely have seen our first glance of ICS in action! It's hard to imagine what else it could be - a device that looks a lot like the Galaxy S2, but without the hard buttons on it. I thought with some Scotch tape and some good craftsmanship it may be possible to give the impression of the hard buttons being replaced by soft ones, but then when I saw them light up blue as they were pressed I think that's got to be real. I'd be very surprised if the Nexus Prime / Galaxy Nexus / whatever looked significantly different from that.

I'm not so sure, I'd be surprised if Google went with a horizontally scrolling paginated app drawer. That's one of the things Apple is going after Samsung for implementing in TouchWiz, so would perhaps not be a wise move to make it stock too.

so they moved it to coincide with nokia world launches ... and even moved it to the same city !!

Not sure if Apple would win this particular patent. I thought the only one they won against Samsung phones was to do with the photo gallery swiping. Didnt they lose all the others they filed?

I currently use Go Launcher EX as my home application. They have a horizontal scrolling app draw. Also when you long press an icon in the app draw, all icon shake and appear with a red circle with a white x in the top right corner (allowing you to uninstall an app). This is very similar to how apple do it. Surprised they have had issues with Apple.

I think that that is the Nexus Prime in the video as screenshots and the Google+/Music apps from Ice Cream Sandwich all leaked at the same time as this video...

Seems like a bit more than coincidence if you ask me...

Hope the rumours over the delay being about more patent disputes are not true, an 'insider' reckons they need to remove stuff from the Nexus with no date to when it will then be released. If it's delayed beyond November I might have to have a rethink and get a different phone.

Word is it's been rescheduled for next week:

I can't believe it's anything to do with patent disputes, after how aggressive Apple have been so far I'm sure Google would make absolutely sure their stock OS and flagship handset were bulletproof.

Yeah I agree, also just noticed the rumoured new launch date, hope this is true and that it's in the shops next few weeks
