The album i think is surprising nearly everyone by how well it is doing, i think retailers have also under estimated it and will not have enough stock to meet demand, im delighted its doing well and i hope they hold number 2 or even snatch the number 1 spot.

They could always sing live, it was pete waterman who didnt want them to because he wanted then to sound like they did on the record.

what has pete waterman got to do with it? he wasn't their manager or tour manager for that matter. they weren't even on his label?

He only played a small part..I imagine there are many reasons why miming occured back then...dance routines dont make it easy either

All the people buying the album..I wonder how many already have GOLD? I mean I would imagine many would so doesnt this just show how much of a great fanbase they have!

I have Gold(all of them for that matter) but i got tube Ultimate Collection mainly as I don't *really* know where it is It's at home somewhere... And secondly for support, even though it's already doing surprisingly well.

I have been singing Stomp to myself the last couple of days.

Really glad we have some good old fashioned cheesy pop back at the top of the charts.

I can't stand most of the chart stuff around, so this old girl is happy!

Steps are one of my favourite bands. In the 90s I really wanted to see them in concert but it never happened unfortunately

I wonder how long it would take them to get more in stock? Yep, you're right, this could cost them dearly, unfortunately.
Not really, the stores will end up ordering more copies.....

yes i know! i dunno maybe 2-3 days or maybe a week. However this just means that if HMV are in the same situation that people will have to get off their butts and go down to HMV if they want either a physical copy of the CD+DVD version or just download it from itunes without the music videos i dunno if supermarkets are selling the CD+DVD version they rarely sell Deluxe versions of anything, or maybe that is just my area.
The Supermarkets seem to only be selling the CD version.....

And it will take maximum of 2 days for them to restock.....

He owned EBUL (their label) who distributed thier material through Zomba/Jive..... All 3 labels are now owned by Sony Music UK.....

He only played a small part..I imagine there are many reasons why miming occured back then...dance routines dont make it easy either

He was the producer..... And they never mimed on tour.....

He wasnt the only producer ..check step one credits..Topham and Twigg also produced and others..and he didn't produce later stuff
Go and watch the Gold Tour on DVD and you can hear they mime to pre-recorded vocals..apart from ITWYMMF..and in any case my point was about miming on tv shows

Even though Topham and Twigg produced alot of their later stuff they where still under the watchful eye of Pete Waterman

I've just ordered my cd/dvd from Amazon, can't wait for it to come in the post! And it did say it was in stock so they must have gotten more in yay

I wasn't going to bother as I already have Gold but when I read on here there was a DVD with all the videos I just had to buy it.

Now I just need to get my tickets for the concert. I feel a bit of a saddo but I'm going with my mum so at least I won't be the oldest person there I've already been practising the routines in my office as we have a radio station playing older music. Ace!
