Eastenders in new domestic abuse storyline
Andy and Sam Hunter will be involved in a new domestic abuse storyline the story will see evil Andy trying to turn Sam into Kat he will make her dress like her and act like her in an up coming storyline that started the night before the wedding in which he made Sam put on the wedding dress in front of him it will also reveal just how obsessed Andy is with Kat the BBC have said:
' The two weddings are almost exactly the same — Andy only changed his cravat. Nobody from Albert Square seems to notice but Andy’s plan to wear the same suit and use the same church is part of a future storyline that will see Andy become a tyrant, ordering Sam to act like Kat'. |

Oh great (Not), this possibly means Andy's going to be around for a little while longer then. I hope this storyline doesn't go on as long as Little Mo and Trevor...although this storyline does intrigue me.

I agree it does sound good but anything that stops Andy being a wannabe gangster does however with the lil mo trevor thing eastenders proved it is good at doing storys like this and i think the whole andy kat thing has been leading up this for a while |

Hmmmm...
I can see this working only because Sam is a dippy tart who would do anything to please a bloke. It sounds like her character would do that. The only thing that is a little stupid is making her look like Kat?!? Andy has not tried to get Kat back, just promised revenge for hurting him. If this storyline was to work it would show him obsessing over Kat more. What WOULD work however would be him controlling Sam by not letting her wear anything attractive and being mad when she speaks to other men. THAT sounds more realistic. |

My worries about this are down to the fact I think Kim Metcalf is incredibly weak as Sam Mitchell. The victim in this sort of situation should, naturally, engage the viewers sympathies, however Kim Metcalf is just plain irritating and unconvincing as Sam, so I can't see me caring one way or another what the hell Andy does to her.

An intriguing storyline anyway. That would explain the same church, same suit etc. I'm looking forward to seeing this. I would imagine this is what drives Sam to suicide which has been rumoured. I can see this being one of the features over Xmas.
This won' tbe like Little Mo and Trevor, I think this will be a different type of domestic abuse, more mental than physical, which is Andy's style. |

Isn't this an old Emmerdale story? Where the bloke made the woman cut her hair and dye it the same colour as his ex?
If he wanted someone like Kat, why didn't he choose a short, fat brunette, tart to marry? |

Act like Kat? What's he going to do, order her to eat the entire contents of the fridge every day? As well as giving her some kind of orange zest face cream to permanently give her skin a radioactive glow...
Well anyway, I think it sounds good. I've never had a problem with Andy as such, just his stupid storylines and certain unbelievable things about his character. This is at least different to his usual gangster rubbish and concentrates more on him as a person.. I agree about Kim Medcalf being a bit unconvincing. She's not awful, but other actresses would be able to pull off this story much better I expect and make the viewers beleive she's going through it rather than just acting.. |

I agree, Danielle Westbrook would have been FAB for this storyline.

Not a bad idea for a storyline, my only problem with it is that it means Andy and Sam will get too much screentime. They are both uninteresting and unconvincing, so I don't see it being particularly well done.

It will most likely spill over into the 20th Anniversary storyline, with Phil and Peggy's return.

When Danielle Westbrook played Sam the character was fiesty and a hard nut - like all Mitchell men and women - she had a mean streak and was very manipulative - but above all she didn't take any sh*t from no one - including her brothers.
Plus her and Babs are best mates - so you believed that they had an emotional connection. Who the hell is this new sam mitchell and what happened to the old one - was she abducted by aliens and replaced by a mindless clone ?? This storyline is a joke, surely - has eastender's turned into a really bad sitcom ??? |

IF Kim Medcalf can improve and hone her acting skills then this storyline could actually be fabulous...
Seriously, it does sound very good.

When you watched the Trevor and Little Mo episodes - Kacey Ainsworth was so convincing that you were with her every step of the way when she finally gave Trevor a good "ironing"........ no doubt I shall be making a cup of tea a lot when the Sam storyline comes round. It DOES need the acting talent of someone like Daniella Westbrook, who, as some of you point out, was a true Mitchell - gobby, feisty, tough and full of herself ......... unlike Kim Metcalfe's portrayal of Sam as suddenly being a vacuous, desperate, bimbo. |

Seriously, it does sound very good.Like I said before Kim is not a bad actress the whole beast cancer scare story was well done and she did win best newcomer at the NTA's for it I think with most actors it just depends on what you get I think this story will see her shine and I hope it does. |

Oh no.. EE does NOT need more depression. I'm gonna give this plot a miss. The Lil Mo/Trevor thing was bad enough.. I like happy endings, so hopefully Minty will get in there and dispose of that Andy creep once and for all. I don't think Kim is a bad actress either..
