Is it me or have they not got any cheaper? Looking at Phones4U Still £100 to get it @ £35pm and the operators themselves are usually more expensive than the likes of Phones4u.
At that price the 4 is more expensive than todays top android phone and the 4S sits in a league all by itself with no other phone coming close to its price. The 3GS has gone into the budget £15pm market while the 4 & 4s are only competing with themselves, the 4 would need to be in the £20-£25pm price range.

I reckon you will see it for under £30 once the iPhone 4S is out.

Going by the pre-order prices that the networks have announced so far it looks like the 3GS will be free on tariffs up to £35 and the 8GB iPhone 4 will be free above £35.

I don't see a problem with that structure.

Prices may drop a little after launch, but not for a few months at least.

You can already get the 16GB iPhone4 free with the 3 network for £30, you just need to look around.

Indeed and there is every chance three will do the 8GB at under £30.

If you work in a company or know anyone that works in a company with Orange Mobile Phones you can use 'Orange Perk' where they give staff and up to 5 friends 25% discount on any phone contract (including iPhones) so you could get the £36 a month iPhone 4 8gb contract for £27 a month.

Only downside is you have to go into the shop rather than online.

Also if your company or any friends companies run on Vodafone they give 20% discount on all contracts for staff and 5 friends.

Hope this all helps.
