Best Christmas Song
What is the best Christmas song of all time?
I say the Pogues with Fairytale of New York. Absolute Belter. |

I'm by no means a Cliff Richard fan, but Mistletoe & Wine is one that always sticks in my mind as a good Christmas song.

Yeah that one also sticks out for some reason, dont know why.
But the best one which i think is Chris Rea - Driving Home For Christmas. Its excellent blasting loud in the car when you are actually driving home for christmas and its all snowy etc ![]() Merry Christmas |

Yeah the Pogues number is kind of a great christmas anthem isnt it?Great singalong of a pile of Christmas classics on Friday night at a disco I was at-seeing a crowd of thousands of 14-17 year olds singing along to tunes by the likes of the Pogues and Slade from decades ago shows that these classics will be around for a while yet.
P.S-Is it just me or are there no real new Christmas anthems anymore? The likes of RTobbie Williams may have reached number 1 but even if ppl did sing this song at Christmas 20 years time i doubt itd be the robbie williams version they would be thoinking of would it?There hasnt really been a proper Christmas tune since the Pogues, and that must be at least a decade old.For some reason the late 70s-80s was the decade of the Christmas tunes. |

Name That Tune!
Can anyone tell me the name of this song and the arist.
Its a happy party song and the main chorus goes something like this: Merry christmas merry christmas, but i think ill miss this one this year, merry christmas merry christmas, but i think ill miss this one this year etc etc etc... Its a really happy party tune and a woman sings it, who is it? Any ideas please? Cheers

Would agree with the Pogues song, pulls at the heartstrings.
Also Fountains of Wayne's 'I Want An Alien For Christmas' is excellent. |
