Hi all,
I've been trying to find an insole that, when i wear my high heeled boots, will stop that awful pain in the ball of my foot.
I have tried gel insoles but they don't work
I really like my boots and i want to wear them for longer than an hour without having this pain in my feet.

Any advice greatly appreciated

I have the same problem, and when i take my boots off at night and relax .... i get severe cramp in my feet.

I have come to the conclusion that heels aren't for me, which is a shame.

It always amazes me how some people can walk around all day or go clubbing in massive heels.

I would like to know their secret. Do they just have different feet? (Mine are a little flat).

Me too. I love high heels, unfortunately they don't love me so can't wear them.

I read about this is a magazine or paper not so long ago.

In a nutshell, if you cross your legs, the foot that is left hanging over the knee has an angle to it. (Imagine the angle from the big toe to the heel)

Those who can strut around all day in 6 inh heels have a steep angle on the lower foot. Others, like me!, have only a gentle angle of about an inch. This is the natural height for your foot and anything over it will never suit.

It explains why people like posh spice not ony wear these mammoth heights, but also feel comfy in them and not in flats.

Hope Ive explained it ok. I have a brilliant mental image of you all crossing your legs and examining your angle now.

I think i'm coming to this conclusion i don't fancy persevering tho, my feet already hate me lol

I'll try and determine what the cause could be.

I get a horrendous burning pain in the balls of my feet after a night out in high heels. I saw something on the tv years ago, where they showed a lady getting something injected into her feet so she could walk painlessly in high heels for a few months...but sometimes I imagine these things and perhaps I actually dreamt it. Would be great if it does exist though...

I can wear some heels with no or very little pain, others after 30 minutes I need to sit down. It's annoying because I have some lovely shoes and boots. I used to be able to wear all sorts of high heels for as long as I wanted and be able to walk miles in them without any pain but I tore the ligaments in one of my feet about 8 years ago and since then my foot hurts really badly if I wear heels for too long.

My mate suggsted i get botox in the balls of my feet to stop that burning pain, is that what ur thinking? this was just recently i heard about it.
I've considered it as i like my boots lol

I read somewhere that the insolia insoles work? Marks and Spencers have started putting them in their shoes.

Anyone tried these?

Lawla I love high heels and have tried numerous things over the years. I know it sounds daft, but if you go in to a chemist, in the section where they sell all the corn plasters etc you should find a small round padded sponge with a loop that goes round your 2nd toe. They are really for older people with feet problems but they work like a treat !!

Wow! That was spot on for me

I think it's just years of practice. I'm quite old now (41) and have worn heels nearly every day of my life since I was 13. I can wear ridiculously hight heels from the minute I get up to the minute I go to bed and I don't get a moments discomfort.

The one thing that happens though is that your calves shorten or something. If I wear flats on holiday, my legs ache like crazy.

I've been looking at winter boots recently, just can't decide whether to go for high heels or something flatter. Probably more sensible really What sort of styles are "in" at the moment? Not sure about suede which I've seen a lot of recently

I'm a nightmare with heels!

I had one or two pairs that I wore until they were ready to fall apart because they were so comfortable.

But now I cant find another comfortable pair! The majority of heels give me very sore feet and calves and I also like something with a buckle or strap cos I find it hard to keep them on my feet if they dont!

For this reason, I only wear heels when going out. I wear trainers or flat boots to work and everywhere else.

No advice unfortunately just experience of the same thing.

Some boots and high heels dont have the instep balanced in the right place throwing the feet forward and it puts all the pressure on the balls of the foot.. all I can wear now are wedge boots, or Im crippled ,, I have a new pair of nude colour patent heels for Xmas..... they wont last the day.. thats definite..

It probably doesn't help if you have small feet, since the angle will be greater and your weight more concentrated on your feet.

What glowbot said. It's worse if you are overweight with small feet as it's a lot of pressure on a small area. I am currently losing weight and after losing a stone have already noticed the balls of my feet hurt less. I won't wear over 3 inches though - I'm not ready for the sky scrapers yet!

Alcohol is the secret to that! The more you drink, the more comfortable your heels become

i also wore high heels before...that is my first time to wear, because the job needs, so i have to wear...at the frist it was just okay...long time i really felt so painful.... so i decide not to wear high heels later...really impressive...
