Feel free to add to that list.”

When I think of Kara's rumba all I can think about is Artem and James's version

As much as like the rumba the only ones that didnt make me cringe were Kara&Artem, Colin& Erin, and Kelly&Brendan.

I nearly hyperventilate until I read the 'punchline'.

There are many good rumba/rhumbas. James' rhumba with Cherie and Pamela were very good ones. Vincent's rhumba with Rachel was good, Flavia's rhumba with Matt was excellent too (esp. the Christmas special one). Alright, Artem's version with Kara was magical but that could partly be because they were in love already (the same applies to Flavia's rhumba with Matt)...

It would be so easy to fix this problem, but, I am afraid that the producers of this show have decided that it is more trendy to dance every dance to the wrong music.
How can you expect people to express the rumba when they are dancing to something else?”

Totally agree with this 95% of the rumba music chosen for Strictly is crap. How can a celebrity get hip action from a pop ballad with no latin beat?

Check out these proper rumba songs; they all have the distinctive rhythm needed for the dance:

Totally agree and this applies to most other dances too. Hard to get the feeling of the dance without the music that fits.

I'd be delighted if they axed the AT. It's painful to watch, always the same and seems to be the only 'reason' for vinthent and flavia to be on the show.

Yes, we get the 'story'. Yes, we know all about the gauchos and the prozzies. Yes, stylised flicks and dancing on tables... whatever...

SEEN IT NOW - BORING!

You heathen.

Well, we all have our points of view, but please bear in mind that the problem with the AT is that very few of the professionals know how to dance it. So they tend to get advice from the same teacher, who naturally produces a similar set of choreography. In a sense, what we're mostly seeing on TV is a signature of one teacher, interpreted by different dancers.

So yes, you'll haturally see a lot of similarities. In the same way that the salsa dances we've seen have been largely influenced by Short Shouty Salsa Man.

Occasionally you'll see a decent AT on the show, but to be honest the last really good one was Rachel and Vincent's performance a few years ago.

Would I like to see the AT axed? No, of course not. But that doesn't mean I don't realise that the displays have very real limitations and, yes, some similarities.

And yes, bloody Len wibbling on about brothels and sweaty cowboys also gets right on, as the saying goes, my wick. I wish he'd just shut up and admit he doesn't know a damn thing about AT.

I agree that there have been no end of dreadful Rumbas over the series' but I could never say get rid of it as it was Rachel and Vincent's Rumba that took me from a casual fan into a strictly obsessive! I think the biggest problem (music aside) is that to perform a good rumba you either need to be a great actor or have a genuine connection with your partner- actually really LIKE dancing with them. I think Jason could pull off a good rumba.

What's this talk about dropping the AT!? Never, it's amazing! Ramps', Rachel's, Ricky's and Kara's were all fabulous! Also see Nicole Scherzinger's from DWTS- that was brilliant.

Ah, I'm beginning to sound like Russell now
